PIMA COUNTY DOWNTOWN COURTS COMPLEX

“I must say that Coreslab is one of the better, if not the

best subcontractors on our project..” In fact, we are just

getting started on the 7-story parking garage. Coreslab is

again our precast subcontractor”.

Per Frederick Friedl, Senior Project Manager Sundt Construction, Inc.

March 2015

Coreslab was the design assist trade contractor for the architectural precast concrete on the 290,000 S.F. Pima County Court Tower as well as for the 831 car, 271,650 S.F. parking structure.

Coreslab was heavily involved with AECOM and Holben Martin White during pre-construction, to develop an efficient, cost effective architectural precast concrete enclosure which utilized white cement with no color, and a light sandblast texture to match Indiana limestone. The architect chose a "ribbed" formliner texture on the base panels of both the court tower and the parking structure.

On the two exposed sides of the parking structure, the designers specified a "board form" finish with "fractured fin" joints out of gray concrete.

3-hour fire separation walls were used adjacent to the adjoining 222 luxury apartments and 30,000 S.F. of retail.

"Based on Coreslab's performance on this project, I am confident in recommending Coreslab as a full-service precast contractor of choice to fit a challenging design, fabrication and construction schedule on any project."
