INTRODUCTION
As it is a modern age life become a faster. Every human is being running toward its achieving goals. Now modern age basically compared with computer age.
In short period of time computer has won the hearts of people. Day by day, use of different software in various business sectors is been increased. So every technology is created through computerization. With respect to recent development in software in India & other countries, there is increase in software companies. Software companies are those companies which provide services to its customer. Therefore to manage such entities there is need of core software systems which provides flexibility between their services to its customers.
GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM software may be used widely by various garment companies. It is being used globally. It is useful for proper maintenance of records & daily transactions are recorded. In this global market, competition is increasing hence technology plays a vital role in development of respective core sector.
The computerized inventory management systems meet such all requirements of proper storage of daily records & transaction. Usage of computerized system of daily ultimately it will reduce labor requirements & time consumption which would lead to develop economy.
“GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” gives true values to the user about their final goods which is the main objective of the system. In this system you can sell your final goods & also buy the raw materials from the market. It also provides some different facility.

The reason I selected visual basic 6.0 because it is OBJECT ORIENTED LANGUAGE (OOP Language). It provides us many tools which are useful for database oriented projects. Using VB 6.0, easy graphical interface is provided. Trend analysis i.e. graphical interface is displayed using OLE(Object Linking & Embedding Components). Picture boxes & image control provides very useful facility for pictorial representation of data or information. Its user friendly programming software. Data Grids are used to add the information to the database as well as to update the information. Visual Basic is flexible to use & gives better visual representation. I used Microsoft Access as back tool. It provides simplest access to database. It is more reliable & easy to store the information into the project database. It also provides reports with greater flexibility.

Scope of the system
The “garment management system” has diversified scope. The scope include stock keeping update along with making bills, sales & purchase records of the different raw material required for production.
The system releases the burden of keeping the manual records of the stock available in the warehouse. The record kept by the system is precise & the record is updated as real time. With this information the company owner is aware about the remaining stock & he will know the recording time & reordering quantity of the certain required material. So the showroom will not face the problem of certain material being out of stock.
The system also generates the bill automatically which helps to calculate the bill amount automatically which will not lead to calculation mistakes which a human being can commit. It saves the time of doing all the calculation. The billing option is provided with the “TAX” calculations. It is also useful to check the stock of the colored material. It can also be useful maxing of different colors to make a specific Material.

OBJECTIVES
The central objective of the project is designing & development of an application program which will help to the organization to buy raw material from the market and sell the finished good the market (different whole-seller, shops, etc.)
This application is developed to make employees if the organization more convenient with the system os buying & selling raw material & finished goods respectively.
The primary objectives of this project are as follows:-
To provide accurate & instant reporting by reducing requirements of the manpower, ultimately it will save time consumption.
To provide better management reports & queries quickly at all level for effective decisions-making.
Entering & updating new mention data through single point. Proper storage of daily record. Effective software system would be provided that would reduce the
paper work considerably. To make the system friendlier with GUI based applications. Efficient backup & storage facility for the data/details. Technically skilled labor requirement will be reduced as the user would
control everything. Computerized auditing can be done.

FEASIBILITY STUDYIntroduction:-
Before developing any computerized system it is important to examine system to find the drawbacks & requirements, which will have to satisfy the proposed system. It is necessary to examine the current procedure & information flow, to locate problem in the exixting system, to identify what resources are used, to discuss with higher authorities the improvement that are necessary.
Definition:-
The preliminary investigation is carried out before the analysis in which the feasibility study is carried out. An important outcome of preliminary investigation is the determination that the system requested is feasible or not.
Feasibility study is undertaken to determine either possible of improving the existing system or developing a new system.
Preliminary investigation is an important part of the system analysis. Before starting any system we have to determine whether the system is feasible or not. This study is known as the FEASIBILITY STUDY.
Feasibility study is the procedure to identify, describe & evaluate processed system & select the vast possible action for the job in terms of economic, Technical & behavioral constraints.
Types of Feasibility Study:-
Technical Feasibility Study Economical Feasibility Study Operational Feasibility Study

ADVANTAGES
Automation of day to day work of “GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”.
Usage of system would help in proper storage of daily record. Save time consumption. Computerized auditing can be done. Error free stock management system of raw material. Real time updates of the database when any sale or purchase is made. Quick & faster access of stored data of customer whenever required by
the user. Ease the burden on the employees to update the stock report. No expertise required for handling the system. Reduce extra employee cost. Reduced time to search the record. System is very helpful to display all the records. Password can be reset easily. If three times password is typed wrong then the login window will exit.
Project Report Page 34
GARMENT MANAGEMENT
LIMITATIONS OF SYSTEM
Employee must be trained to use computer system. The hardware requirements limit the use of hard disk drive (HDD) LESS
THEN 20GB. Vast product data to be handled due course of time needs suitable data backup devices to be used.
The application can’t work on operating system other than windows. Handling of an oracle requires an expert hand.
The system is not web supported, because these limitations systems capabilities are not utilized in a wide range.
No separate database available for different products. There is no any facility to backup data in another storage location. When power of system is off improperly then unsaved data recovery is
not available. Computerized system may lead to unemployment.
Project Report Page 35

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT
There is a scope for the enhancements in the available system. The enhancement can be noted as:-
Automatic reordering date signals Automatic reordering quantity recognitions. By calculating the sale
purchase ratio of the different products. Online availability of products. Online purchase of products. Online advertising of Company & Products.
Project Report Page 36
GARMENT MANAGEMENT
CONCLUSION
The system works efficiently in the present situation. The uniqe
features like automatically database update & stock display proved
helpful in the daily work of the stock
There are some limitations like delicate database connectivity, but for
small reasons the system proves to be efficient.
The system can be enhanced in the near future by making it online
ordering/selling/payments.
It can be used for online advertising.
