already achieved international standards in producing glass.

Our country has an annual market for TK 3.00 billion glassware and almost all of them are

demand, it can sell only 3500 tones in the local market and export around 1500 tons to the

neighboring countries of India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Page 6: Project on nasir glassware company

As a major portion of the raw-materials are procured locally, the prospects of the float glass

industry is bright indeed. It sells glass at much lower price compared to that of the imported

glasses with similar quality.

About 501 – 1000 People  are employed directly or indirectly in this industry. Its total annual

sales volume US $1Million – US $2.5Million. Its main exporting markets are North

America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Eastern Asia, Southeast Asia,

Mid East, Africa, and Oceania

NGIL is a multi-functional float glass complex set up with a dream. Sprawled over 23 acres

of lush green land at Joina bazar, Sreepur, Gazipur, Bangladesh, NGIL has a built up area of

over half a million square feet with some structures rising over 80 feet. With 37 meters (121

feet) high imposing water tower and 75 meters (246 feet) lofty chimney, NGIL presents a

panoramic view of eloquent beauty with impressive grandeur. Dotted by architecturally

attractive workstations surrounded by elegantly crafted paths which are landscaped by

intertwined trees, shrubs and lawns, the factory is an ecological dream.

Therefore good marketing must be able to create a “proposition” or set of benefits for the end

customer that delivers value through products or services.

employment and save foreign currencies from import payments and products that are not made

in Bangladesh, but have a huge demand in the country ,” He says.

Process improvementIt is an aspect of organizational development (OD) in which a series of actions are taken by a process owner to identify, analyze and improve existing business processes within an organization to meet new goals and objectives , such as increasing profits and performance, reducing costs and accelerating schedules. These actions often follow a specific methodology or strategy to increase the likelihood of successful results. Process improvement may include the restructuring of company training programs to increase their effectiveness. Process improvement is also a method to introduce process changes to improve the quality of a product or service, to better match customer and consumer needs.

Essential TrainingTraining is using guided experience to change employee behavior. Comprehensive training is must for the employees of Nasir Group. Because without that the company does’t achieve their goal.

Employee rolesThere are four roles within a business Management system :Business Leader , Process Owner , Operational Manager , andProcess Operator . The responsibilities of each of these roles areunique, but work together as a system.

Business leadersBusiness leaders are responsible for creating the business plans (including strategic plans created duringthe strategic planning process) and associated resourcing plans necessary to cause the organization to be successful.

Process ownerThe process owner is responsible for designing the processes necessary to achieve the objectives of the business plans that are created by the Business Leaders. The process owner is responsible for the creation, update and approval of documents to support the process. Many process owners are supported by a process improvement team.

Operational managerThe operational Manager is responsible to bring the resources and processes together to achieve the objectives of the business plans that are created by the business leaders. This person is accountable for how well the process is performed.

21 | P a g e

Page 23: Project on nasir glassware company

The process operator is responsible to learn and perform the processes (work) necessary to achieve the objectives of the business plans that are created by Business Leaders. This person is accountable for performing the requirements of the process.

Recommendations

Accountability of the management of Nasir Group in terms of managing risk should be specific.

The management should provide some sort of formal training to improve the performance of

their employees.

Another big weakness they have is their term policy they should differentiate between

temporary and permanent term policy so that clients can choose the best policy for them.

Conclusion

Nasir Group is one of the largest glassware company in Bangladesh. Nasir glass

companies managerial function and skills are highly organized. They control their employee and

their activities by their technique. We thank our honorable teacher Tasnim Rezoana Tanim for

assigning us to the field work which gave us the opportunity to work with such a company. The

people who we interviewed were very enthusiastic in helping us with this project which greatly

contributed to the fulfillment of this project. Most importantly this assignment has greatly

contributed to our learning as it has given us the opportunity to apply our education in a more

practical approach

22 | P a g e

Page 24: Project on nasir glassware company

Limitation of study:

Our study is based on Nasir Glass Ltd. When we were given to do our assignment we thought

that it would be easy for us. But when we visited Nasir Glass’s official web site we were

disheartened. Because we found only four pages about Nasir Glass’s establishment and some of

its products. But it was a very small amount of data for our assignment. As a result we decided to

visit Nasir Glass’s head office at Baridhara for collecting more information.

This is privatized company. So they were friendly enough to provide all the information.

Except this limitation we have to face other:

Our study is based on secondary data and those data are not updated time to time. So we

couldn’t get recent data.

Whenever we tried to open the different pages of Nasir Glass’s official web site the

server showed that the page couldn’t be displayed now.

As it is private company, the employees were so busy that they could not give us enough

time that we need.

They were not enough co-operative to reveal their different programs in public because

of the competition in the market.

Data collection:

When we were given to do the assignment the first question raised in our mind is which type of

data, how much data we need and from where we would collect them. For reason we divided our

23 | P a g e

Page 25: Project on nasir glassware company

sources of data into two sections, such as, primary data collection source and the secondary data

collection source.

We decided that, primary data, which are not available in web sites, published books, annual reports, newspapers, and TV channels, we will collect them by visiting Nasir Glass’s head office at BaridharaReference link :
