QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB) is a provincial crown corporaon responsible for the maintenance and operaons of the tolled bridges that span Halifax harbour, the Angus L. Macdonald and the A. Murray MacKay. HHB is embarking on its largest capital project since the MacKay Bridge opened in 1970 – the replacement of the suspended spans on the Macdonald Bridge, The Big Liſt. Construcon on-site will begin in 2015. HHB is hiring a Quality Assurance Lead for a three-year contract to work in the project management office (PMO). Reporng to the HHB Project Lead, the primary responsibilies of the Quality Assurance Lead include: 1) Manage HHB's project quality management plan (QMP) and QA requirements 2) Manage QA site audits (fabricaon & erecon sites) 3) Administer HHB’s web-based quality management system (QMS) 4) Monitor the contractor's quality control plan (QCP) 5) Monitor inspecons; non-conformance and preventave acon reports to ensure that acons are taken by appropriate pares 6) Monitor the contractors auding as per the contractor’s QCP 7) Schedule HHB’s inspecons of work and materials with the contractor, as required by HHB 8) Conduct PMO process audits and system reviews Idenfy and document deficiencies Resolve deficiencies and report status to the PMO manager 9) Conduct QA related meengs with PMO staff and other project stakeholders as required 10)Ensure all quality documentaon and submials are properly prepared, submied and stored Secondary Responsibilies 1) Monitor the contractor's environmental protecon plan (EPP) 2) Review progress billings 3) Monitor closeout procedures 4) Quality related project training Qualificaons 1) A minimum of five (5) years of quality assurance experience; structural steel experience in the construcon industry is preferred document.docx(2)
