Success Criteria: The project will be successful if Summerville Police reduces the amount of sick time related to cardiovascular incidences by 20 percent, muscular-skeletal incidents by 40 percent, and lower the average resting pulse of unfit employees by 5 beats per minute during the second full year of the project.

The Police Chief stated this “will improve the condition of his force and aid in public safety”. The head of the police union stated “this is a good benefit for my members – I would like to thank city council”. In a public meeting 98% of the comments were positive.
