3. THE EXISTING BUILDING IS EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM.
4. PROVIDE FIRE STOPS AT FLOOR, WALL, OR CEILING PENETRATIONS TO ACHIEVE THE MINIMUM RATING OF THE ITEM BEING PENETRATED. NOT ALL PENETRATIONS ARE INDICATED IN THE PLAN. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE FIRE STOPPING FOR ALL PENETRATIONS WHETHER INDICATED OR NOT.

A. THE INFORMATION CONTAINED WITHIN THESE DRAWINGS IS INTENDED TO BE USED AS A PERFOMANCE-BASED DESIGN ONLY. A NICET LEVEL III OR IV CERTIFIED DESIGNER SHALL PROVIDE A COMPLETE NFPA 13, HYDRAULIC-CALCULATED DESIGN AND SUBMIT TO THE ENGINEER FOR APPROVAL.

G. THE CONTRACTOR IS ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD FITTING PIPING AS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE DESIGN. NOT ALL PIPING OFFSETS AND FITTINGS REQUIRED HAVE BEEN SHOWN. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO VERIFY EXACT PIPING CUT LENGTHS AND DROP HEIGHTS.
H. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED INCIDENTAL DEVICES, VALVES, SWITCHES, PIPING, ETC., TO ACHIEVE A COMPLETELY OPERATIONAL, FULLY FUNCTIONING SYSTEM WHETHER INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS OR NOT.
I. ALL MATERIALS & INSTALLATIONS OF THIS AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM MUST CONFORM TO THE CURRENT EDITION (APPROVED BY THE AHJ) OF NFPA 13.
J. ALL SYSTEM PIPING SHALL BE HYDROSTATICALLY TESTED AT 200 PSI OR AT 50 PSI ABOVE THE SYSTEM OPERATING PRESSURE, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
K. CUTTING, PATCHING OF FLOORS, WALLS, AND CEILING TO BE DONE BY OTHERS, BUT PAYMENT SHALL BE BY FPC.
L. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INTERFACE WITH THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH CODE REQUIREMENTS.
M. ALL PIPING SHALL BE TESTED WITH A HYDROSTATIC TEST OF NOT LESS THAN 200 PSIG AND ANY LEAKS FOUND SHALL BE CORRECTED. AT VARIOUS STAGES AND UPON COMPLETION, THE SYSTEM SHALL BE TESTED IN THE PRESENCE OF THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA.
N. PROVIDE SPRINKLER SYSTEM TESTING AND CERTIFICATION DOCUMENTATION FOR INCLUSION INTO THE PROJECT 0 & M MANUAL.
