APPENDIX 1: CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Call for Papers
7th Euro-NF Conference on Next Generation Internet
June 27-29, 2011 in Kaiserslautern, Germany
Overview
Following the past successful conferences, NGI 2011 focuses on the design, engineering, and operation of Next Generation Internet networks. It is organized by the Network of Excellence (NoE) Euro-NF, which was initiated by the European Commission during the 7th Framework Program. Euro-NF serves as its main platform for interaction, dissemination, and collaboration. To stimulate discussions, NGI 2011 invites scientists and practitioners from industry and academia, and especially welcomes contributions from outside Euro-NF. Conference Website: http://www.icsy.de/conferences/ngi2011/
Original papers on recent advances in next generation networking are invited. In addition to full papers, we also encourage to present demonstrators. Topics of interest are - but are not limited to - the following areas:
Applications and Services o Grid computing o Cloud computing o Location-based and context-aware services o Network co-operation o Overlay networks and peer-to-peer
Optical Networks o Multi-layer networks o Routing & wavelength assignment o Traffic grooming and traffic engineering o Transport Ethernet, PON, WDM
Network Architecture o Access, metropolitan, and core networks o Environment-aware networking o Flexible and evolvable Network Architectures o Inter-domain and intra-domain routing o Network management and control o Security architectures and mechanisms o Network Virtualization o Energy-Efficient Networks o Mobility and nomadicity in evolved architectures o Testbeds and experimental evaluations
Project FP7 ICT N° 216366 – Euro-NF 30 August 2011
Deliverable N°: D.SEA.6.1.3
Dissemination level: PU 12
Wireless Networks o Ad hoc and sensor networks o Cellular networks o Cross-layer design o Integration of fixed and mobile networks
Traffic Engineering o Admission and congestion control o Performance evaluation of NG networks o Quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) o Service differentiation and multi-service support o Traffic measurements, modeling and statistical characterization o Optimization algorithms and heuristics for network dimensioning
Socio-Economic Aspects o Cost models o Regulation, IPR, network neutrality and governance o SLAs, pricing and quality of experience o Trust, privacy and security
Submission Guidelines
All conference papers are expected to follow the format of the IEEE templates. Submitted full papers must not be longer than 8 pages. The paper must contain a short abstract (up to 250 words), the complete list of authors including affiliations, and keywords. The layout of the papers must comply with the IEEE Transactions templates, available here: --> IEEE Transactions templates (new window) Please use Word template or LaTeX macros unchanged. If you are not using either of these formats, please contact the conference chair. For Demonstrators please submit an extended abstract of max. 2 pages.
