Communication tools - Interwise

Rules:

• Request a Interwise session either at Carmelo, Piotr or Anette

• Necessary information:– Date and Time (be aware to use CET)– Participants (i.e. one of the mailing lists on the

repository!)– Short agenda of what should be discussed

• Short Demo– how to use Interwise with Outlook– how to use Interwise with other mailing systems– Application sharing– Recommended communication tools

• for single person use: headset with microphone• for multi-person use (e.g. ICC): get connected via PC

to the web application & dial in with conference telephone

How to use Interwise with Outlook

Step 1: receive e-mail invitation

Step 2: accept (if possible) the invitation

How to use Interwise with Outlook

Step 3: invitation moved to Outlook calender, no longer in your mail-inbox!

Step 5: enter the meeting by double clicking on the first link

Please use a headset for communication and not the speakers / microphone of your PC!

In case of bad audio connection, you can additionally dial in via telephone

Step 4: double clicking on the calender event opens the session details

How to use Interwise with other mailing systems

• If you do not use Outlook or Outlook Express as mailing system, Interwise invitations will be sent to you via e-mail

• You can accept them but they will stay within your mail-inbox and will not be moved to a Calendar

• In this case please make sure that you do not forget about the meeting

• 5 minutes before the meeting starts, you should open the e-mail invitation and follow the instructions– get connected with the web conference by clicking on

the link– use also Headsets for communication or dial in

additionally via telephone

open the meeting.ics file (attachment) to accept / decline / accept tentative this invitation

this will open a standard Outlook iCalender window (see “How to use Interwise with Outlook”)
