Redevco Asia is developing a landmark shopping centre with a gross floor area of approx. 109,000 sq. m. in Wuhan, the largest city in the middle reach of the Yangtze River (2010 population c. 9m), a transport hub of central China, 920 km west of Shanghai. The Wuguang High Speed Railway has connected Wuhan with Guangzhou in 3 hours. The development is a strategic partnership between Redevco Asia and one of China’s leading developers, Shui On Land Limited.

The shopping centre is part of a large complex of approx. 400,000 sq. m. in the Yongqing Area of Jiang’an District. The new Wuhan Tiandi Corporate Zone will be a unique CBD facing the Yangtze River, a landmark close to city centre, with direct connections to the existing light rail system and to the future metro line. On top of the shopping centre, three high-rise towers will be developed containing Grade A office spaces and a 5-star hotel. The centre is located at one of the main thoroughfares and has a parking facility of around 2,000 spaces.

The mission of the Wuhan Tiandi Riverview Plaza is to create the best lifestyle shopping mall in Wuhan and to realize the physical and functional integration of high-quality retail spaces, offices, leisure facilities, hotel and a wide range of restaurants. To ensure the project to be a magnet destination for future generations, sustainable design and management are important principles for this mission.

Wuhan Tiandi Riverview Plaza is scheduled to commence construction in the fourth quarter of 2010 and to be completed in 2013.
