Continue: aim of the module

To do this students will be taught the skills needed to make sensitive cross national and cross cultural comparisons, in order to understand and compare social policy and social work practice in their own country in relation to other countries and to take account of ethical and power dynamics such as oppression.

The module is designed to make this knowledge applicable to practice, for example by learning about empowering practice and the practicalities and ethics of communication with those from different cultures, in the home country and abroad
