*Teenager’s Problems

*Our age is so strange. We know that we are on the way to become adults. But this way is so hard. And we teenagers usually stay alone with our thoughts, because nobody even we ourselves don’t understand what is happening around us.

*There are a lot of problems – that is what we know exactly. And problems are everywhere and we cannot expect why and where they come from. This is very difficult time though some people think that it is the best time.

*Emotional problems for young people can be far more difficult than financial ones. The typical teenager problem is that “nobody understands me”.

*We have interrogated teenagers what problems the most serious among youth today. And now You can see their answers.

*Also we have held an opinion poll among pupils of our school:

*So, as you have noticed on the first place there is a problem of "the first love" (28%)

*The second serious problem in their

opinion is “taking drugs, alcohol and

smoking” (18%)

The third place is “problems

at school” (17%)

*Then You can see problems of:*computer dependency (15%);

*suspense of your future (12%);

*misunderstanding with parents (10%)

*And now we would like to discuss some of these problems more detail.

*#1 Problem of fathers and sons.*Every young generation has more complicated problems than previous. And maybe nowadays teenagers have more problems then other generations. And this difference awakes misunderstandings with parents. Sometimes it seems that our parents are too tiresome and dull in their demands. And also they often interfere into our life. They often try to treat us like small children. But if you really want to solve this problem you must try to understand each other.

#2 Taking drugs, alcohol and smoking.*Also nowadays a problem of drugs, alcohol & smoking is

very actual. A lot of teens like to look older, that’s why they obtain bad habits like smoking, drinking, taking drugs, etc. A lot of teenagers have drug addiction. And sometimes they use drugs not because of that they want. And it often leads to bad ends. Moreover, you may have problems with health.

This problem can be solved with teachers , parents or even friends help, who can try to keep them far away from those vicious. In many cases, teenagers are influenced on doing bad things by the group they are spending their free time and don`t listen to the advises that are given by the ones who care about them and they only want their best.

*Do you know that every year three million people die of smoking? Do you know that your life is 25% shorter if you smoke? But in Russia more than 76% smoke. If you want to be healthy and strong you should give up your bad habits.

*#3 Problems at school.*The school ages are very difficult. We do a lot of homework and even have no time to go for a walk or do whatever we want. Another problem in school – marks. Also you can have problems with your teachers or schoolmates that can influence on an emotional condition of the teenager.

*#4 Problem of computer dependency.*Teenagers are becoming more and more computer dependent today. Teens who have mania to comps are very boring and uninteresting. You can’t speak with them about something beside of «Sims» or «GTA».

*#5 Problem of friendships and relationships. *Youth is also the time to meet your first love. It is of coarse wonderful but as it is widely known that first love often has an unhappy end. This also increases young people’s problems. Even friends cannot always stay friends when young people begin to understand themselves a little bit better old friends sometimes just grow apart. And sometimes you have problems in communicating with each other and you even stay alone.

*So as you see it’s very difficult to be young nowadays as indeed it always was. Everybody was a teenager, that’s why everybody can say that it’s very difficult to be a teenager. Everyone has different problems, but teenager’s problems are special.

*But you only can be young ones and some wonderful things can happen to you only when you’re young. So it’s better to enjoy youth while it lasts.

*I think that every teen must go into sports or have a hobby, and know that you are responsible for your life by yourself.
