For the first time at the Metropolitan Opera, legendary tenor Plácido Domingo sings a baritone role, the title character in Giuseppe Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra. America Abroad travels to several Arab countries to examine how globalization, Islam, and a turbulent region are shaping
how teens and twenty-somethings look at themselves, and the world.
America Abroad: “From NAFTA to Narcotics: The Cross-Border Economy” airs Sunday, August 15 at 10 p.m.When the US sneezes, Mexico catches a cold.
