Basic Casualty (VILT)

This one-week virtual class provides entry level casualty adjusters with the knowledge and skills needed to handle casualty claims while under supervision. Content areasinclude fair claims handling practices, adjuster law, auto coverage, HO liability coverage, CGL, business auto coverage, subrogation, and field investigation (whichincludes practical application exercises for investigation and negotiation, like auto and truck accidents, slip & fall, and related products). Participants will also learn proper reporting structure and use of the CiQ mobile app.

Participants must have a current adjuster’s license to register for this class.This course requires pre-study that must be completed prior to attending class.

Introduction to Property Loss Adjusting (VILT)

This two-part virtual presentation is open to all Crawford & Company employeesinterested in exploring a career in property loss adjusting. The sessions are 90 minutes each, over two days, and provide an overview of the major topics and course material covered during the three-week Residential Property Class, held in the Atlanta Support Center. These presentations will give attendees a valuable glimpse into a career as a Property Adjuster at Crawford!

Residential Property Loss Adjusting (VILT)

This virtual instructor-led class is necessary for building a foundation for a career as a property claims professional. Course content includes property claims fundamentals(including the claims process), policy analysis, property loss investigation, construction techniques, damage assessment, Xactimate estimating, personal property claims, time element and industry standards, and specific client claim handling. Participants are given the opportunity to apply what they learn to case studies involving actual field property loss adjusting. The course requires a pre-study of 80-100 hours and includes a pre-course assessment, topic specific quizzes, and a final project.

Participants must have a current adjuster’s license to register for this class. This course is required for new adjuster trainees and requires pre-study that must be completed prior to attending class..

Commercial Property Loss Adjusting (VILT)

This virtual course is divided into two parts: Part 1: Commercial Property and Part 2: Business Income and Stock Loss. Participants have a choice of two sessions in 2021 which comprise these two parts. They must register for both parts in the desired session to complete this Commercial Property Loss Adjusting course.

PART 1: Commercial Property

This virtual class focuses on the full adjustment of large and complex commercial property claims, from first notice of loss to settlement.

Topics include Commercial and Inland Marine Policy analysis, Commercial Valuations, Coinsurance, Insurable Interests, Lead and TIB handling, ITV completions, Xactimate and CoreLogic, Commercial Construction, Statement of Loss, Narrative Reporting, various property loss handling requirements, Improvement and Betterment handling, utilization of experts, managing the loss adjustment, extended policy analysis, and multiple coverage.

Prerequisites:Completion of Pre-studies Current Property Adjuster’s licenseResidential Property Loss Adjusting Class (recommended)

Pre-studies:Commercial Property and Inland Marine courses (minimum score of 80%) Must be completed at least 5 days prior to class

PART 2: Business Income and Stock Loss

This virtual class focuses on Business Income and Stock loss claims. Crawford Forensic Accounting Services (CFAS) will provide training relating to the investigation and calculation of BI and Stock losses.

Topics include Policy Analysis, Investigation Outlines, Document Request requirements, Loss Calculations, Worksheets and working Case Study examples, making CFAS referrals, and Report writing.

Prerequisites:Part One - Commercial Property LossCompletion of Pre-studies

Pre-studies:Business Income course (minimum score of 80%)Must be completed at least 5 days prior to class

Through virtual tools, participants will be given the opportunity to collaborate, develop, apply, and demonstrate their commercial property loss adjustments skillsand their work products, while working on case studies and completing assignments.Quizzes and exams will be given to measure comprehension and application of core topics.

Basic Workers’ Compensation (EL, VILT)

This four-day class uses KMC courses and live, instructor-led webinars, using Microsoft Teams, to provide entry level workers’ compensation adjusters with the knowledge and skills to handle workers’ compensation claims (while under supervision) in an automated claims handling environment. This course addresses these subjects: fair claims handling practices, adjuster law, confirmation of coverage and client instructions, employment, compensability, workers’ compensation benefits, medical terminology, evaluating medical reports, reserving, reporting, subrogation, fraud awareness, litigation management, and negotiating. Participants must have a current adjuster’s license to register for this class.This course requires pre-study that must be completed prior to attending class.

Care Management Services (VILT)

This four-day class is delivered via instructor-led webinars and requires pre-study using KMC courses. It provides medical case managers and care managers with a process-based, service delivery learning experience. The topics include demographics, financial markets, caregiver, care management process, care management assessment, and calculating cost estimates. Supervisors and branch managers who are responsible for the delivery and supervision of these services are welcome to participate.

Xactimate Refresher and Level 2 User Certification Exam Prep Class (VILT)

This virtual course is designed to increase your Xactimate sketch and estimate line item entry proficiency and credibility. It includes graphical estimating and how to sketch stairs within a room, while correcting some bad habits and showing short cuts and tips to increase speed and accuracy of estimate writing. This course also prepares the learner for the Xactimate User Level 2 Certification Exam. A digital version of the Xactware Fundamentals & Proficiency Workbook is included with this course.

Conducting a Job Analysis (VILT)

This virtual class provides experienced case managers or vocational consultants with the knowledge and skills to perform a job analysis. Short- and Long-Term Disability (EL, VILT)

This class is delivered using KMC courses and live instructor-led webinars. It provides the case manager with the skills needed to handle a variety of short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) cases. The case manager will learn how to identify the characteristics of disability case management and will be able to distinguish between the short- and long-term disability factors that impact eligibility for benefits. The case manager will be able to apply the provisions of the employer’s benefit plan and consider available medical and vocational information in order to develop a realistic case management plan.

The Multiplier Effect (VILT)

A Multiplier is a leader who amplifies the capability of the people around them. People

get smarter and more capable working for Multipliers. A Diminisher is a leader who

suppresses others’ intelligence. Diminishers drain the intelligence, energy, and

capability from the people around them. Multipliers get twice as much intelligence, on

average, relative to Diminishers. This virtual session will explore the different traits and

mindsets of these two different leadership styles and ways to turn potentially

diminishing moments into a Multiplier moments.

Emerging Leaders Program (ILT)

The Emerging Leaders Program is an intensive, invitation-only program designed to further develop leadership and strategic abilities, as well as an overall understanding of the company’s operations. The program is meant for senior or mid-career professionals from different service lines, functions, and geographies who have demonstrated outstanding potential to advance to pivotal leadership positions. Participants build critical management skills, get exposure to senior leadership, work on real world projects, and network with peers from around the world.

The Executive Leadership Program is a bi-modular, immersive, invitation-only learning experience which enables our leaders to gain fresh insights on their professional and personal strengths, learn new strategies for taking their leadership skills to the next level, and strengthen a global network of peers. It is offered to proven business leaders who hold leadership positions one or two levels below the C-suite and have been identified as central to our succession plan. Women Leadership Exploration and Development (LEAD) is a high impact virtual instructor-led and networking experience to build knowledge and capabilities among women professionals for increasing their influence and impact within their teams. This two day class provides a corporate overview for newly hired employees. The intent of the program is to bring together recently hired employees and provide them with information about our company, services lines, vision, and values. Participants will be exposed to the Crawford story – where we have been, where we are today, and where we are headed in the future – and hear more about our culture, business practices, challenges, and opportunities. Interacting with the executive team, other senior executives, and fellow new hires will go a long way in building a strong network within the organization and a sense of belonging among new hires.

Performance Management Tutorial (EL)

This short tutorial guides managers and employees through the two phases of the Crawford performance management process: Evaluate and Plan. The Evaluate phase provides an explanation of the competencies and RESTORE values, as well as how to use the forms to evaluate performance. The Plan phase discusses setting goals, planning for career development, and completing the planning forms.
