Available Sports Infrastructure and Facilities in Sardar Patel Sports Complex:
The Department possesses latest sports grounds and other essential state of art facilities for its academic program and sports coaching and training within the university campus. Department houses a well-equipped gymnastics indoor stadium, athletics track, football & cricket ground, fitness centre, Astro-turf international standard
hockey ground with stadium, international standard indoor and outdoor swimming and 10 Mts. Air conditioned shooting range. Department has multi-media aided classroom, library, computer lab, international transit house and well-built guest house and air conditioned auditorium are available inside the campus. We are very much interested and determined to start with six-week certificate course in sports coaching from May – June 2020 in association of your esteemed institutions and your experienced sports scientist and coaches to promote skill sets of our P. E. Teachers and persons who are interested to advanced their competence in the field of sports training and coaching. Newly Constructed

Total 100 Students athletes of the different colleges can stay during
coaching camps and inter college competitions of different sports and
games going to held in Sardar Patel Sports Complex with in house dining
facilities in the hostel. Around 60 boys and 40 girls can stay in the hostel
at a time and both have separate dining facility. Total cost of the project
of sports hostel is around 3 Crs.

Constitution of Board of Sports
The University Board of Sports shall consist of the following namely:
The Vice‐Chancellor. (Chairman)
(i) The Pro‐Vice‐Chancellor.
(ii) Two members of the Syndicate to be nominated by the Syndicate.
(a) Among them one member shall be coordinator of the university
Board of sports.
(iii) Four Principals to be nominated by the Syndicate.
(iv) Three teachers to be nominated by the Syndicate from amongst the
teachers of the affiliated colleges.
Note: In case if no lady Principal is nominated under Clause (iv) a lady teacher should be
nominated as one of the three members to be nominated under Clause (v).
(v) Students Welfare Officer (Ex‐Officio).
(vi) Seven Physical Training Instructors to be appointed by the Syndicate
one of whom shall be lady Physical Training Instructor.
(vii) One Senate member to be appointed by the Syndicate.
(viii) Four student’s representatives to be nominated by the Chairman,
Board of Sports, every year.
(ix) Director, Physical Education
(Ex‐Officio, Secretary, University Board of Sports).

Constitution Board of Cultural Activities
There shall be a Board for Cultural Activities in the University. It shall consist of :
(i) The Vice-Chancellor.
(ii) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, if any.
(iii) One Principal, one teacher, from affiliated colleges, recognized
institutions and University Departments, one Senate member and one
student representative from affiliated colleges, recognized institutions
and University Departments nominated by the Syndicate, representing
the Rajkot City, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, Surendranagar
and Jamnagar Districts.
(iv) One Principal or teacher of a Music College affiliated to the University
(iv) The Director of Youth Welfare of the University, if any.
(v) The Director of Physical Education.
(vi) Students Welfare Officer of the University.
(vii) Note : The Students Welfare Officer of the University will act as
