What’s required?

• PROFILE GUI Demo Case (557.202.839)

• PC(e.g. Notebook)

• PROFILE GUI Demo software package

Installing the Network Adapter:

Plug in the USB Ethernet Adapter and follow the steps.

Prepare Network Connection:

For connecting the GUI we need a Network connection.

Setting up the network connection:

Open Windows Network Connections:

Look for the Installed USB Ethernet Adapter in the Windows network

connections which was installed automatically before.

Right click on the Icon of the Ethernet Adapter and select “Properties”.

Setting up the network connection:

Change the settings as below and press ok:

• Select “TCP/IPv4” (Version 4)

• Click on “Properties”

• Change to “Use the following IP address”

• Change address to “192.168.1.102”

• Change Subnet mask to 255.255.255.0

• Click “OK”

Setting up virtual Comports:

Select settings as below and install to default destination folder:

Security warning about driver installation: Click on “Install” to proceed.

Launch com0com setup:

It’s important that the Comport number is not higher than 8 because the System only works

with Comports up to 8! In the example below, the setup assistant generate a pair “COM5”

and “COM6”. This 2 Comports will be used for the simulation. Hint: If you got a message “Net Framework 2 or higher is required”, please start “setupg.exe” in

com0com directory manually in case you need if you need to change the com0com settings.

Select the Virtual Comports for simulation:

Launch settings dialog of PROFILE Demo Case software:

Select the 2 virtual Comports (in this example 5 + 6) and click ok.

Set Point in Alarm in MZXChecker:

Left click on a Loop point will set the point to alarm state, left click again

will set the point to normal state. Only if all points in normal state and you

are logged in, a reset on the GUI is possible, in some countries a

“sounder silence” is needed before a reset is possible!

GUI login passcodes:

User:01 passcode: 1111

User:99 passcode: 999999

Set Point in fault State in MZXChecker:

Right click on loop point will open a popup menu where you can select

the State of this point like “No Response” (fault) or Pre-Alarm and back to

“Normal” State.

Stop Simulation:

To stop the simulation, >always< click on “Stop Simulation” Button in

the right bottom corner of your Screen. This will stop all Applications

which are used for the Simulation in the right order.
