• Electronic/Multimedia Presentations

• Flip Charts, Whiteboards - write big!

• Objects, Models and Handouts - at end

• Slides and Transparencies - – Pencil flashlight for notes– Avoid looking at screen – Don’t read off transparencies

Selecting & Designing Visual Aids

• Text with art or animation

• Graphics: diagrams, tables, charts

• Keep down the slides: 10 minutes = 5 + 1

• Readable size (24/18) and 2 or less fonts

Preparing Quality Text Visuals

– No more than four to six lines of text

– Limit each line to forty characters

– Use phrases rather than sentences

– Use upper and lowercase type

– Use a simple type face

– Allow the same space at the top of each visual
