Do you consider yourself a born manager? For many it’d be the “Greek dream” – no need to change or grow, no insecurity, no anxiety. But we are not living in a dream world. In the real world, the workplace is always changing. Managers who can’t respond to these changes risk being left behind. Now is the time to take your career into your own hands. The only way to predict the future is to create it. And the best way to begin creating the future is to plan for it. “He who fails to plan is planning to fail” said Winston Churchill. Can you afford to fail? Decide on your short- and long-term career goals. Don’t forget to include your ultimate personal goals. Write down the steps you’ll take and the resources you’ll need to meet these goals. Think of the soft or hard skills, experience, and knowledge you need in order to succeed in your plans. Then put your plan into action. Our training catalog has the resources you need to move forward step by step. I am confident that you will find a program, seminar or certification that will meet your training needs and reflects your career aspirations and goals for personal growth. Get inspired. Join us. Move forward!
Move forward!

We perform business analysis tasks daily. We discuss how to exploit business opportunities and how to address business problems. We build a business case, define a scope of solu-tions, and evaluate alternatives. in most cases, however, we do it ad hoc without any formal training and without stakeholders sharing a “common language”. this course will teach you the fundamental concepts and techniques of business analysis and help you develop business analysis skills by practicing these techniques in simulated busi-ness situations in class. you will also acquire a greater understanding of the communica-tion infrastructure in which business users and stakeholders responsible for implementation and operations interact, and will be able to shape a “common language” among stakehold-ers when conducting business analysis. this course will also reference the exam mate-rial (BaBoK® Guide v2.0) for the CBaP® ex-amination. however, while BaBoK® includes definitions of Business analysis techniques in Chapter 9, it takes for granted that candidates are already familiar with the techniques they have to use. the course will help you gain a de-tailed understanding of these techniques.

E-LEARNING
The e-learning environment
We use the Blackboard e-learning platform which provides 24/7 access and has built-in communication tools, like chat rooms and discussion fo-rums, to simulate the teacher-student interaction of a traditional class-room.
Training methodology
Each course consists of a number of modules (sessions). Each module has study material, which, according to the course, may include reading material, multimedia tools, videos, and presentations. In each module there is also some kind of assessment, in the form of either a review test or a short assignment. You need to complete a module before moving on to the subsequent one. The amount of time required to finish a module varies according to the course.

Sometimes it is hard to know exactly what to say in English in a difficult situation, be it a cus-tomer complaint or an angry colleague. The wrong word can make the situation even tenser. But the right phrase or the right expression can calm things down and smooth things over. This 3-module course will examine the language for coming out on top in the toughest office con-ditions. Each module will examine and practice the language you can use to deal with tough circumstances tactfully and diplomatically face to face, on the phone, and in writing. Case stud-ies and samples are extensively used, while you will also receive feedback from an experienced trainer.
By the end of this course you will be able to:> Decide what to say or write when faced with a difficult situation > Show professionalism even in hard times> Get your desired results without aggression

Why study
at Hellenic american college
Quality Higher Education from an Accredited American University
Hellenic American College offers - exclusively - the academic programs of Hellenic Ameri-can University (Manchester, New Hampshire). The University has been accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the same organization that accredits universities such as Harvard, Boston University-and MIT. Accreditation is evidence that Hellenic American University meets a set of rigorous standards of quality and effectiveness in areas such as teaching, academic programs, gover-nance, student learning, facilities, and library and learning resources. Accreditation is your way of knowing that the quality of institution and its programs has been independently as-sessed.
Hands-on, Engaged Learning
At Hellenic American College, you’ll not only master the fundamental theoretical knowledge in your field but also acquire the skills, meth-odology and tools to apply that knowledge. A look at the typical assignments for our courses shows the importance we place on participat-ing in learning. You don’t just study for exams. You conduct research, work on team projects, do field experiments, and lots more. If you’re a Business student you’ll put together market-ing plans and test out scenarios in financial models you’ve built. IT students design small-scale applications. English students do practice teaching in actual classrooms, and our Psychol-ogy students intern in real counseling settings. Those are just a few examples of our focus on engaged learning. But it’s not just class proj-ects; as you progress in your studies, you can also apply for internships in your field of study.
Close Faculty Contact
one of the things our students like most about studying with us is the contact they have withtheir professors. The vast majority of courses at Hellenic American College are taught in a smallclass, seminar-like setting by our faculty, nearly all of them with Ph.D.’s earned at univer-sities in the US, the UK, Germany, or elsewhere in Europe. The seminar-style classes and our student-faculty ratio of 9:1 - that means rough-ly one faculty member for every nine students - greatly enhances the contact you have with your teachers and maximizes your participa-tion in learning. More importantly, your teach-ers come to know you individually, and thus can better help you cultivate your individual strengths.
Exceptional Communication Skills
You already know that having excellent com-munication skills in English is one of the most highly valued professional competencies today. But how do you acquire these skills? You don’t do it by spending four years in a university never having to write anything. The only way you can become a better writer is by writing. Under the guidance and with the feedback of your teach-ers - and the staff of our Writing Center - you’ll develop and refine your communication skills in the language. Writing is part of every course at Hellenic American College. Not compositions but analytical essays, in-class presentations, lab reports, researchpapers, team progress reports - the kinds of writing you might be doing in your professional life after college. By the end of your studies, you’ll have acquired excellent written and oral communication skills in English, whatever your degree.
77
Career Support from Day 1
At Hellenic American College we believe de-veloping your employment prospects and competitiveness on the job market should start from the very first day of your university stud-ies and not a week before you graduate. our Student Employability Program, run by the Ca-reer Development office, does precisely that. During your first semester you’ll meet with one of the Center’s career counselors, who’ll help you assess your strengths, talents and aspira-tions, and explore career paths to meet these needs. And just as importantly, you develop a plan that prepares you to enter and advance in the job market with a strong c.v. and highly competitive skills. Together you’ll identify the professional or industry certifications you will earn in addition to your academic degree. You’ll develop a “personal branding” that highlights your strengths and accomplishments. If you don’t have job experience, your career counsel-or will help you develop a portfolio of intern-ships, field work and volunteer experience that you can show to future employer.
Financial Aid
We know that financing a quality university education can be a challenge, which is why wehave adopted a policy of moderate tuition fees. In addition, we offer financial aid to students with demonstrated financial need, as well as merit scholarships to exceptionally qualified applicants.
Flexible Schedule for Working Students
over half of our students are also work-ing, either full- or part-time, so we schedule extra classes in the afternoons and early evenings to accommodate their schedules. A number of classes can also be taken as e-learning courses.
One-on-One Academic and Personal Support
We’re proud of the fact that over 92% of the students who begin a degree program at Hellenic American College complete the requirements for their degree. Part of this success has to do with the fact that students are highly satisfied with the quality of teach-ing and their own learning. But it also has to do with the extensive academic support that’s available to help them capitalize on their talents and academic strengths, and address whatever difficulties they may be having. First of all, there is your mentor, a faculty member in your discipline who pro-vides one-on-one help and guidance on aca-demic matters as well as your professional goals. But there are also specialized support services at Hellenic American College, such as the Writing Center, which offers individu-al assistance in all your writing assignments as well as help on professional writing tasks. Another resource is the Hellenic American College Counseling Center, where students who are facing personal or academic prob-lems can receive confidential and specialized psychological support.

“My experience in the BSBA Program at Hellenic American University has been exceptional. The University gave me the opportunity to learn about the assignments and tasks that a manager in a company would have and to travel to the US to attend a leadership conference.
