Optima also supports direct connectivity to third party equipment supporting SNMP via IP, allowing alarm and measurement collection without the need for additional hardware. Professional Services Intelligent Site Management Optima applications are driven by both a fault management engine and a performance metric collection engine. When used together, Optima manages all critical alarming and KPI details from the supported device family using assigned network addresses. All information collected is retained for historical and trending analysis. These engines provide the data needed to bundle and deliver critical operations KPIs to billing systems and systems performance engineering to ensure their network is operating efficiently.
