Optima integrates seamlessly with the Westell Remote product suite to obtain critical infrastructure data regarding operational status of remotely located sites. Optima also supports direct connectivity to third party equipment supporting SNMP via IP, allowing alarm and measurement collection without the need for additional hardware. Professional Services Intelligent Site Management Optima applications are driven by both a fault management engine and a performance metric collection engine. When used together, Optima manages all critical alarming and KPI details from the supported device family using assigned network addresses. All information collected is retained for historical and trending analysis. These engines provide the data needed to bundle and deliver critical operations KPIs to billing systems and systems performance engineering to ensure their network is operating efficiently. Optima application interfaces focus on specific management applications for monitoring. Professional Services

Intelligent Site Management

Optima IntegrationSite installation details provided to Westell will be outlined in a

Statement of Work (SOW). Typical data required from the customer

include: region names, site names, network element names, network

element models, and IP addresses. Customer requirements will also

be outlined in the SOW. Westell will then populate Optima with your

sites, network elements, and regions. This service is customizable

depending on your network. As part of the integration process,

Westell will remotely verify connectivity to each network element.

Westell does not guarantee connectivity, but we can assist in

troubleshooting exceptions.

Optima integration services include:

• Integration of up to 50 sites (16 NEs/site)

• Database verification of network elements at 50 sites with one

connectivity report

• Configuration for One (1) Optima client interface with customer

licensed third party client software as provided by the customer

• One (1) trip to a mutually agreed-to site (service outside of the

US/Canada will incur additional expenses)

Custom ServicesIf your network has unique needs that require additional services

beyond the Westell professional services offerings, let our team of

experienced professionals develop proposals and Statements of

Work to meet your business needs.

These could include:

• Data migration services from legacy element management

systems to Optima

• OSS integration

• Operations process audits

• Site and process audits

• Custom reports

Support and Maintenance PlansKeep your network healthy and productive with a Westell

support and maintenance agreement. The support agreement

provides hardware and software support services with essential

protection to help minimize down-time of your network and

maximize performance.

Deployment Services

Deployment schedules demand strict adherence to project

objectives. With the increased complexities of new technology,

using proven methodologies and technological expertise helps

ensure that your objectives are met within the specified time

and cost constraints. The extensive range of Westell deployment

services ensures you’ll maintain your implementation schedule.

Westell offers the following deployment services:

• Project management

• Engineering and furnishing (EF&I)

• Installation

• Provisioning and turn up

• Site surveys

TrainingWestell offers comprehensive product training through a

combination of online and instructor-led courses. Instructor-led

courses can be customized to meet your company’s needs and

can be taught at any location or at a Westell facility. Courses

combine informative lectures and demonstrations with hands-

on activities. Westell instructors have extensive experience in

telecommunications and training.
