Benson brings a wealth of experience to his position as director of Lawrence Tech’s Professional Development Center. He has held senior executive posts at the consulting firms Accenture, DDI, Spherion, and Cambridge Technology, leading such large-scale initiatives as mergers, turn- arounds, product launches, and organization restructuring. A consultant for more than 20 years, Benson’s clients have included Aon, Best Buy, Caterpillar, Chase, Chrysler, Comerica, Ford Motor Company, GlaxoSmithKline, General Motors, Jervis B. Webb, National Steel, Nissan, Mazda, Sears, State Farm, Toyota, ThyssenKrupp, and the University of Michigan. On the faculty at Lawrence Technological University since 2001, Benson has taught graduate classes in strategic management, project manage- ment, lean principles, and executive development.
