Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad…• Flagship international exchange program• Designed to increase mutual understanding between the
U.S. and other countries• Administered by the U.S. Department of Education • 4-6 week trips for 16 teachers in each of six or seven
sessions• 4 trips maximum• Congress appropriates money with small contribution by
teacher

Application Components…• Curriculum Vitae• Discuss your interest in and experience with interacting
with other cultures• Discuss why you require greater knowledge of the host
countries• Discuss your plan to implement the required curriculum
project

grant-making agency for the Federal Government.• Offers Landmarks of American History and Culture
Workshops for K-12 teachers, librarians, homeschool parents
• One-week programs provide direct experiences in interpretation of significant historical and cultural sites
• Stipends are $1200 to help cover living expenses, books, and travel
