LOW EMISSIVITY COATED GLASS
Low emissivity glass, or low-E glass, is an excellent way to increase overall comfort and energy savings. Low-E glass works by re-radiating heat back to its source. All objects and people give off varying forms of energy, affecting the temperature of a space. Long-wave radiation energy is a form of heat while short-wave radiation energy is visible light from the sun. The coating used to make low-E glass works by transmitting short-wave energy — it allows the penetration of light but re-radiate long-wave energy to keep heat in its desired location.
In hot summer, the low-E glass with solar control function can absorb the short-wave radiation energy from the sun. It can re-radiate the heat to outside the facade. Thus, low-E glass with solar control works well in both hot and cold climate. It is energy efficiency because it helps to reduce both heating and cooling load of the building.

The design of curved glass has been used for building construc-tion since the early 19th century. Yet, it remains modern and dynamic, and is far from exhausting its full potential. Today, the use of curved glass panels is steadily increasing because of its many uses in modern architecture.
CURVED GLASS COMPOSITION
Special Curved Glass can be used in different forms of Mono-lithic, IGU or Laminated IGU composition. In addition of safety and energy saving issue, laminated IGU with low-e coatings, with permanently bonded together by a tough, durable interlayer, special Curved Laminated IGU or DGU exhibit the characteristics of a superior safety architectural energy saving glass.
PRODUCTIONS
Curved Glass can be processed by tempering, heat strengthen-ing and heat bending technique according to different glass surface compression stress requirement. Curve tempered glass and curve heat strengthened glass can achieve the compression strength equal to the standard of flat tempered or flat heat strengthened glass respectively, but these 2 processing method can be only applied on single curved glass with the coating located on concave side.The heat bending process is suitable for different kinds of curved glass, such as spherical curve, round cone shaped, S-shaped, J-shaped curved glass, etc. Heat bending process can also be applied to the common single curved glass, and the radius of the single curved glass made by using the heat bending process usually can be smaller than processed by curved tempering or heat strengthening method.
LAMINATED ARCHITECTURAL GLASS
Laminated Architectural Glass is made of float glass, by interlaying PVB membrane between tempered glasses. It can be two or multiple glazing. The firm and tough bindings between PVB membrane and glasses make to combine safe glazing and excel-lent performance.
PERFORMANCE
Excellent safety performance: when broken, fragments will adhere to the plastic interlayer, reducing the risk of dangerous glass shards from injuring people and damaging properties. Besides, the whole glass still keeps its integrity and can continue to resist impact and provide a shelter from wind and rain. It has established all of the advantages of laminated glass: Safety and security, sound damp-ening; ability to offer solar control for energy savings; filtering the ultraviolet; sound insulation.
SELECTION
According to different usage, laminated glass provides SGP, DG and PVB interlayer films for selection. (PVB) polyvinyl butyral interlayer has been continuously improved over the long history from its inception as the preferred material for safety glass. (SGP) SentryGlasRPlus interlayer for laminated safety glazing is the latest innovation in DuPont¡¦s family of glass laminating products. It extends the performance of laminated glass beyond current technologies. SentryGlasR Plus Interlayer offers five times the tear strength and 100 times the rigidity of conventional PVB interlayer. Because of its added strength, clarity, durability, fabrication and installation ease, it is an excellent candidate for demanding appli-cations in the architectural market place. It can offer improved ballistic protection or thinner constructions than are now possible with conventional laminated glass.
CERMAIC-FRITTED GLASS
Ceramic Fritted Glass ( Ceramic-coated glass ) is tempered glass, one face of which is covered either partly or totally with frits which will permanently integrate in the glass under high temperature.
It is widely used as decorative glass and spandrel glass to hide the back panels, patterns can be customized. Ceramic Fritted Glass provides certain light shading function, can be combined with Low-E glass to improve the energy saving function, and achieve a better shading coefficient value. Ceramic frits can be placed on face 2 of a laminated Low-E DGU (outer pane laminated ) to achieve the most effective energy saving results.Ceramic Frits should be placed at the inner side of the glazing unit, better to be combined uses with laminated glass or DGU.
ARCHITECTURAL SANDBLASTED GLASS
Sandblasted glass is manufactured by ejecting sand or an abrasive material at a very high speed on the glass. The sand scratches the layer of glass; the intensity at which the sand is forced on the surface determines whether it will be a high or medium level translucent glass.

"Inspiring Wave" As Design Intent
Shenzhen AKD mall is the first project development in China applied curved tempering methodology on both convex and concave shape of Low-E DGU to form a wave shape facade, maintaining the Low-e coating on the same side. By applying SHENBO's latest self R&D special curved glass bending technique, Low-E glass can be fabricated stably and the coating will not be damaged either the coating is located on the convex nor concave side. According to the traditional glass bending method which are widely used in the construction and glazing industry, coatings can only be located on concave side.
APPEARANCEThe color and light reflectance of the front and back side of the Low-E coatings are observably different, all coatings should be facing the same direction to achieve a consistent color of the facade.PERFORMANCERefers to the limitation of traditional bending technique, the coating will be shifted to another concave side to avoid the fabrication difficulties; while the coating side shifted, it can cause inefficient energy saving results; shading coefficient (SC) rises around 30-60%.
Traditional bending techniqueAccording to the traditional glass bending method which are widely used in this industry, coatings can only be located on concave side, otherwise the coatings will be damaged.
SBG special bending techniqueBy applying SHENBO edge-cutting ending technique, Low-E glass can be fabricated stably and the coating will not be damaged either the coating is located on the convex nor concave side.

Double curved free form glazing unit are processed byheat bent technique with a unique mold for each differ-ent curvature glass panels. The heat bent molds is formed by a net shape steel pipe which supporting theglass panel with the exact curvature in the heating process. SPECIFIC GLAZING COMPOSITION
SHENBO (SBG) studied the requirements of energy saving factors, visual appearance and light transmittance, designed to provide double coated IGUs for this high energy saving required building. A new combination of IGU by combining the uses of Low-E coating and solar control coating in #2 and #3 respectively. This glazing unlikely to rely on the use of tinted glass to reduce the physical properties of visible light transmittance, while directly strengthening the control of reflection infrared and invisible light, enhance its shading performance.
