Skirt Materials:The material that was used in each skirt had noticable differences between them. With the high end skirt, the material and lining were extremely soft, and the skirt material is seemed more durable and was made of many more types of fiber content. The other two skirts had considerably less fibers. Also, the mid-point and low-point skirts had lower quality materials. The high-priced skirt felt incredible soft, the mid-point skirt felt thin and less soft with much more give (as in stretch), and the low-point skirt was cource with no lining to make it more comfortable to wear.
Seam AllowanceAnother difference between the skirts was the seam allowances. With the high-end skirt, the seam allowances were much wider than the other two. This allows for alterations for size differences overtime with the owner, making it last much longer for the buyer. The other two skirts had smaller hems, with a considerable difference with the side seam, which would not allow for alterations.
Overall Skirt ConstructionTo be expeted, the high priced skirt was constructed much better than the other two. You can tell it was made to last, with durability. The other two, with smaller seam allowances and lower quality material, would not be skirts that would last too long. I suspect they would tear easily along the seams when stretch, like when the garment is put on the body. Overally, the high end skirt was extremely superior and higher quality than the other. Comparing the three, the higher priced skirt was made as an investment for the buer, to last long and made to alter through weight changes over time. The other two, seemed ver “disboable” in comparison the the first. They were not made to last long, probably only as long as a style trend would last.
