    Identification of work

    • The council must consult with all voluntaryassociations, any person, anybody or any industry.

    • CPD:

    • Also referred to in these conditions as"CPD“: meanscontinuing education and training as contemplated in

    Section13(k) of the Act.

    •  Also means the systematic maintenance, improvement

    and broadening of knowledge and skills and thedevelopment of personal qualities necessary for the

    execution of professional and technical duties

    throughout a person's architectural career.

    • Approved CPD provider:

    • Means a recognized voluntary association-or“

    architectural learning site“ recognized by the Council for

    the purposes of offering appropriate learning in respect

    of category1 CPD activities as contemplated in

     Appendix A;

    • Voluntary Association:

    • Means an association, institute, institution or societywhich is recognised by the Council as a voluntaryassociation in terms of Section 25 (3) of the Act, and"recognised voluntary as sociation“ has the same

    meaning.

    • Architectural Learning Sites:

    • Means an educational institution which offers

    architectural programmes accredited by the Council interms of Section 13(a) and (b) of the Act;

    CPD Requirements

    •The CPD system functions in cycles of fiveyears.

    • During each cycle of five years, every registeredprofessional must obtain a minimum of 25

    credits in order to qualify for renewal of hisregistration subject to the provisions ofclause15.

    • Cycle starts 1st of January in the year following

    registration.•  All records of development must be submitted toSACAP regularly.
