ChAnnels:nu-strut Channels are manufactured by the cold roll forming method from low carbon strip steel. one side of the channel provides a continuous slot with two lips. the attachment of hardware such as spring nuts, which are toothed, is assured to be secure.steel material conforms to the following specifications.
gAuge finish Astm speC no. 12 gauge gr and hDg Astm A1011 ss gr 3 12 gauge pg Astm A653 gr 33 14 gauge gr & hDg Astm A1011 ss gr 33 14 gauge pg Astm A653 gr 33 16 gauge gr & hDg Astm A1011 ss gr 33 16 gauge pg Astm A653 gr 33 19 gauge gr & hDg Astm A1008 19 gauge pg Astm A653 gr 33
fittings:nu-strut fittings are manufactured from hot-rolled, pickled and oiled strip steel or bar steel conforming to Astm A575, A576, A635, or A36. the fitting steel also meets the physical requirements of Astm-A1011-ss-gr33.
nuts AnD sCrews:nu-strut Channel nuts are manufactured from steel bar stock, which has been case hardened, after the stamping process. All bolts and nuts have American national coarse screw threads. nuts are zinc coated. Channel nuts available with or without spring, when provided with spring, galvanized spring steel wire is used. Bar stock used to manufacture channel nuts conforms to Astm A1011 ss gr 33, screws conform to sAe J429 gr 2 (also meets & exceeds Astm A307).
finishes:pl (plain) - mill finish.
gr (green) - Channels available in standard green enamel semi-gloss paint applied after steel has been thoroughly cleaned and phosphated.
pg (pre-galvanized) - galvanized steel is used to manufacture channels. Channel sections conform to Astm A653-g90.
hDg (hot Dip galvanized) - Channel which has been hot dip galvanized after fabrication conforms to Astm A123, Astm A153, or Astm A386.
