Engine Start and Ground Power Support for Aviation and High Rate Applications

The ―Red Flash‖ Portable Power Pack has been specifically designed to provide DC power for portable turbine starting and ground power support. The single pack will provide over 1500 Amps starting power, maintaining a stable voltage to ensure engines are started in the most extreme environments. Proven in use, the Red Flash Power Pack will start military and commercial aircraft; helicopters and other heavy-duty vehicles. Starting engines from on-board batteries places heavy demands on battery performance, which can lead to reduced lifetime and a compromise on operations. The Red Flash Power Pack will provide reliable and portable DC power for use in the workshop or remote locations. For large turbines or for applications with very demanding, high current start sequences we recommend the Red Flash - Heavy Duty Dual Pack where two starter packs are coupled together to provide over 3000 Amps starting power.

Cable Cutters Kit:

The Cable Cutters Kit provides a means of protecting the helicopter during a wire strike by providing the capability to cut a cable or wire before catastrophic damage occurs. The kits are designed to reduce the possibility of a cable or wire entering the cockpit and to reduce the chance of flight control damage. Similar cable/wire cutting devices have proven to be effective even during multiple wire strikes. The kits incorporate both an upper and lower cutter and each cutter is designed with high strength cutting blades. The Apical cutter design are tested to verify the capability to cut a cable having a 14,000 lb tensile strength. The kit contains skidtube mounted delfectors and wiper deflectors as standard. It also includes everything necessary to install the kit and is compatible, but does not require any previously installed fixed provisions. Fast-Rope Hook is released from inside the helicopter by a two-function T-handle cable release. The hook, is specifically designed for fast-rope operations.
