Introduction

Here’s how to read the Manufacturer’s Guides. Let’s use beer as an example:

This indicates that:

• Five pounds of barley and one pound of aluminum create 17 cans of beer.

• The quality of beer is determined as follows:

– 55 percent by the production technology

– 45 percent determined by the quality of the raw materials; 40 percent of that by the quality of barley and 5 percent by the quality of aluminum
