• The film magazine I’m going to analyse is the Empire. The main focus of this magazine is defiantly Iron Man 3; this is illustrated by the giant picture of Robert Downey Jr in the centre of the page and the giant bold writing next him.

• The colour scheme of the magazine is based on the Iron Man suit also further implying the main topic of the magazine. In my opinion I would say that the font styles and the layout of the magazine suggest it’s targeted at males from ages 15-25.

• At the top of the page in Gold it says “When Star Wars Met JJ.” The fact that it is in gold suggests it is explosive which would make people be more inclined to read the magazine.

• The first thing you notice about the magazine is golden text and banners, I think its purpose meant to stand out because it suggests exclusiveness and class.

The Person on the front of the magazine is Tom Cruise who is known for action films so you know the magazine is going to consist mostly of that genre.

Also word exclusive implies that there is content only available in this magazine which would entice people to buy it.

The Magazine’s name at the Top which is were people usuallyLook fist on a magazine. ThisIs done so people can seeWhich magazine there looking at straight away.

The colour scheme for the magazine consists of three main colours which areAll taken from the photo in the background, The colours all blend well together.

Straight away from the images you know what this article is about.

There isn't a lot of text which leads me to believe that the main focus of the is article is defiantly the images.

The highlighted exit shows the most important parts of the article .

The majority of the text is on the left page, and most of the pictures are on the Right page, In my opinion this effective because if some one is quickly looking through thePages they never really see the left page, so having all the interesting photosOn the right might make them want to read the magazine.

As you can see the double page spread has a simple layout and consists only of two pictures. This is most likely from a movie magazine target at males as the article is about an action movie and he main focus is the attractive women from it.

The text is placed below the main image, this is done purposely so that people will see the image first Instead of seeing all the text and simply just going to another page because they don’t want to read it.On the left of he giant image three is another one with the title of

the film below it, this is so that people will know what the article is about before the read it.
