This is a slimline model, so slim it’s ready for the next generation of on-wall flat-panels … the designs for which are likely still rolling around in the brain of some savvy flat-panel designer somewhere west of the Pecos. To achieve deep bass extension a speaker needs ports. But we couldn’t add ports, ports take up space and space we didn’t have. What to do?

Two high-velocity passive radiators … our first full-range speaker with passive radiators. With bass extension of 78 Hz in an on-wall model, it’s pretty clear we succeeded. Low distortion and solid, stable enclosures unhampered by vibrations or resonances for clean, articulate bass performance.

Why Passive Radiators?
