General Information (cont.)Product Overview
How does a Lift Roller Sizer work?
Produce is carried forward on a series of adjustable rollers. The rollers are mounted on two endless chains (one on each side) and travel on a series of ramps. As the rollers move forward, every second roller lifts up to the height of the ramp, creating an opening. Produce smaller than the gaps fall through the rollers and larger produce continues on.
Each ramp is higher than the one before so gaps get progressively larger, allowing larger produce to fall through the rollers.
Ramp heights are easily adjusted using the handles located along one side of the Lift Roller Sizer. Adjustments can be made while the equipment is operating.
Things that affectLift Roller Sizer performance:
Produce Size and type.
MachineProduce feed method.Maintenance.
What chain pitch should you choose? *
Chain pitch selection determines the minimum and maximum distances between rollers.
6” chain pitch
Recommended for cylindrical produce e.g. carrots and parsnips or produce with a similar diameter.
8” chain pitch
Recommended for round produce e.g. potatoes and onions or produce with a similar diameter.
What roller type should you choose?
Roller type will depend on accuracy and throughput requirements.Cylindrical rollers: cylindrical and round produce. Higher throughput.Scalloped rollers: round produce. Higher accuracy.
What roller size should you choose? Roller size should be similar to average produce size.* General guideline only; variations may be recommended to suit individual requirements.

Features & Benefits
Feature Benefit
A Infeed conveyor* Minimises produce fall and evenly distributes produce across the width to optimise capacity.
B Ergonomic size adjustment handle Easy grade adjustments can be made during operation.
C Choice of rollers and combinationsAccurate diameter sizing. Suitable for many produce types.
D Heavy-duty drive system Built for strength and durability.E Safety cover Additional safety mechanisim that you can walk on.F Reversible cross conveyors* Line flexibility: sized produce can exit either side.
Variable speed control Adjustment of roller speed to suit produce type, condition and volume.
Centralised greasing system for chain and bearings* Increases life expectancy of moving parts.
Limiting ramps*Prevents lift rollers jumping when large produce is forcing them upward.Keeps sizing accurate.
Upgrade to heavier roller piping**
Increases friction on the baler belt to keep rollers rotating. Useful for large produce.Keeps sizing accurate.
