System Benefits
Product GuideSystem Benefits
Kingspan insulated panels are single component, factory pre-engineered systems.
Single ComponentAccelerated build speed canreduce time on site
The panels are made up of Kingspan’s unique QuadCore, IPN (Polyisocyanurate) or mineral fiber insulation core which is sandwiched between two layers of metal sheets – one the external weather side, the other a pre-finished internal liner. The result is a single component solution that replaces multi-part construction.
DurabilityLifetime performance
High Performance InsulationHigh U-values / FIREsafe / FIBREfree
Exterior Metal SkinPerfect weather barrier
Interior Metal SkinPerfect vapour barrier
Airtight SystemGuaranteed for the lifetimeof the building
Kingspan insulated roof and wall systems offer significant advantages over conventional site-assembled systems. They provide a fast, single-fix installation with high and durable thermal performance, insulation continuity, minimal air leakage and the elimination of interstitial cavity condensation and cold bridging.
8
Unlike traditional multi-component systems, Kingspan insulated metal-faced panels are single-component systems, delivered by one company.
The systems can be quickly and easily installed with the aid of mechanical lifting equipment through a single-fix installation process. The rapid speed of installation can help to reduce the risk of accidents, as less time is spent working at height. It also means that the building is weathertight sooner, allowing internal fit-out and external finishing to commence earlier, minimising delays and the need for multiple trades, therefore achieving a significant reduction of overall build programme and cost.
Site-assembled, built-up systems are more likely to experience delays in construction due to the scheduling of multiple trades and the ordering of multiple components.
At the same time, guarantees, service support, site inspections and maintenance are also supplied by multiple sources which can lead to an increased risk of liabilities.

Fire Performance
Product GuideFire Performance
NOT ALL INSULATION IS THE SAME
Fire resistance
The ability of buildings to perform well in the case of fire and to offer protection to both occupants and property are of primary importance to specifiers, owners, investors and insurers.
Kingspan Insulated Panels takes this issue extremely seriously and therefore all products have undergone extremely rigorous testing to ensure that they not only meet regulatory standards, but in most instances go far beyond.
Reaction to Fire Performance Kingspan Insurer Certified FIREsafe PIR core insulated panels can achieve high levels of reaction to fire performance in tests specified for regulatory purposes and large scale tests developed by the insurance industry.
In summary:
- Europe: EN 13501-1, particularly B-s1,d0. The ‘s1’ rating, being the best (lowest) smoke rating;- Global: FM 4880 – Class 1 Internal wall and ceiling panels without height restriction;- Global Insurance: FM 4881 – Class 1 External wall panel systems;- Global insurance: FM 4471 – Class 1 Roof panel systems;- UK Insurance: LPCB certified to LPS 1181 Grade EXT-A & B, for external roof and wall panel systems; USA / Global: NFPA 285 Façade testing;- Nordic countries – SP Fire 105 Façade testing.
Fire resistance of non-load bearing exterior walls is tested in accordance with European Norm EN 1364-1. The purpose of the test is to assess the material’s performance as a barrier to fire penetration through the sampled building material.
Kingspan insulated panels can achieve up to 60 minutes fire insulation and integrity according to EN 1364 standard! Contact our technical department for more information.

Unrivalled Thermal Efficiency
QuadCore TechnologyInsulated Panels
QuadCore Technology is Kingspan’s next generation of self-blended hybrid insulation core.Across the world of insulated panels, this innovationwith its distinctive grey microcells powers the industry’s highest combined performance:
• Unrivalled thermal efficiency• Superior fire protection• Enhanced environmental credentials• Longest performance guarantee
QuadCore Technology, together with our end-to-end services and whole building design know-how, takes Kingspan buildings to a higher level of lifetime performance, and delivers the ultimate protection for our partners, their buildings, and the environment for future generations.
Lifetime performance and value benefits
1. The class-leading aged lambda value of 0.018 W/m.K has the potential to reduce HVAC size, and lower both energy consumption and carbon emissions.
2. QuadCore Technology is a more streamlined solution relative to other insulation materials with associated benefits in interior space optimisation, transport, less amount of needed flashings and ease of handling during construction.
QuadCore Technology is certified as the most thermally efficient closed cell insulation core on the market.

Superior Fire Protection
The improved thermal performance of QuadCore Technology helps optimise resource efficiency. It is also 100% recyclable and is CFC, HCFC, HFC free and has a very low Global Warming potential.
Lifetime Performance and Value Benefits
Complete QuadCore roof, wall or façade systems - where Kingspan has supplied the panel and all system ancillaries - have the additional security of a single- source system warranty from Kingspan.
• QuadCore Technology, together with whole building design support from Kingspan’s technical team, can help optimise performance in “green building” ratings systems. • The improved resource efficiency delivers better transport utilisation which means less truck movements to site.
The hybrid nature of QuadCore Technology delivers a range of unique improvements in fire performance.
Lifetime performance and value benefits
• With class leading reaction to fire, QuadCore™ adds vital minutes to escape times should the worst happen.
• QuadCore Technology also delivers improved fire resistance ratings leading to more cost-effective installations due to economies in steelwork and fixing, also improved spans, in certain applications.

Excellent energy efficiency
Intelligent sustainability brings twice the benefits – for both the environment and your customers. We developed our Kingspan Rooflight panel system with this aim in mind. You can reduce your customers’ daytime energy requirement by 70% by optimising as little as 5% of the roof area with light panels.
• Fast and simple installation• Low dead weight with high resistance• High ROI, including as a result of the superb
energy efficiency• Compatible with the KS1000 RW and FF roof panel
Application
A KS1000 HTL – Hybrid Rooflight is a product with GRP top sheet and polycarbonate bottom sheet combination for buildings with Kingspan KS1000 RW and KS1000 FF roof panel where thermal insulation and designed surface are required.
Basic conditions of the installation:
• Slope of the roof minimum for RW = 5.7° (10 %); for FF = 8° (14 %)
• Standard overlap is 250 mm• Distance between supports must be determined from
the span tables calculation. Please, contact technical department Kingspan.
Dimensions
• The shape of the GRP top layer is same as the shape of KS1000 RW and KS1000 FF roof panel.
• Standard length: max. 6250 mm (total length)• Width: 1000 mm (polycarbonate)• Thickness: 32 mm for RW panels and 32 or 25 mm for
