Benefits at a Glance: CargoPoint Border Processing Ensure Compliance and Expedite Land-Border Clearance PRODUCT DATASHEET The Border Processing module provides CargoPoint CHB/ABI system users with the tools to process US Northern and Southern Land Border transactions. Specifically the system provides the Broker with an automated means for the preparation, delivery and receipt of the forms/documents required for entry summary, cargo release, and Border Cargo Selectivity (BCS) for expedited border clearance, Line Release, Border Release Advanced Selectivity System (BRASS) shipments, and Pre-Arrival Processing System (PAPS) shipments. • Processes Northern and Southern US Land Border transactions quickly and easily • Includes many standard features that help to maximize efficiency • Technology included takes full advantage of current Customs processes, to ensure shipments are released with speed, accuracy and efficiency Upon receipt of the manifest and commercial invoice (and any other required documents), the Broker can complete a BCS Entry in as little as two data entry screens. The system incorporates many validations to ensure minimal errors. Required OGA data for BCS Customs Entry is captured, including FDA & DOT, as well as FDA Prior Notice requirements. The system supports ABI IJ function (to determine IRS number for consignee when not known by Customs Broker), and synchronizes the submission of the Entry with Customs’ response to IJ submission. The Consignee IRS number can be referenced for each “line” on a BCS Entry. Automated printing of 3461 ALT, including bar coded Entry number, is done upon receipt of BCS acceptance. Also for Border Processing Kewill Trade and Logistics offers the FASTPoint system to facilitate the movement of trucks through many of the US/Canada and US/Mexico border entry points utilizing the US CBP Free and Secure Trade (FAST) lane processing system.
