Process of making the Final Film

Page 2: Process of making the final film

After filming all my media clips, we loaded them on to the computer, then opened the software we were planning to edit with, premier pro, clicked file, import, selected all the completed and inserted them into premier pro in order to edit these clips professionally.

Page 3: Process of making the final film

Once these clips were imported I reselected them in the project file in premier pro, and dropped and dragged them into the editing both, this allowed me to view all the footage filmed and gave me the opportunity to delete the clips I found were of less quality.

Editing the footage

Page 5: Process of making the final film

To cut each clip accurately I the zoom length of the clips by adjusting the scroll bar

To create a straight cut I used the razor tool, I placed the time bar on the second I wanted the clip cut and clicked the razor onto the red bar

This then cut the clip into two parts

Page 6: Process of making the final film

To shorten a piece of footage I pressed the selection tool

This then allowed me to make the clip to a certing amount of time by clicking the end of a click and moving it to the left until I got the precise time.

Adding colour

To add color I clicked effects window, I then pressed the video effects and colour button, then double clicked the tint option, this then tool my photo automatically to black and white, by the amount to be tinted = 100%

Page 8: Process of making the final film

To create a more realistic but yet still represent dullness to the audience I weekend the tint to 38% creating a grey look of the footage

Page 9: Process of making the final film

I used the same process for the bath room scene however decided that for the bathroom purposes red was a more appropriate choice, therefore I selected a dark scarlet using the colour picker, and changed the tint to 43%

Transitions

Page 11: Process of making the final film

I adjusted the duration of the transition from the clip to black out, to be 1 second this allowed the footage to flow with the music

This is the mid shot of the footage slowly fading to a black out

Page 12: Process of making the final film

I doubled tap he original on the program sequence scene to be able to edit the clip on the effects control, to create a distorted effect I added a double layer of fast blur of 31% and 127% this was the out come

Page 13: Process of making the final film

To come out of the blur and back into the original footage state, I used a cross dissolve transformation and weekend the blurr amount to show the clip coming back into focus

Page 14: Process of making the final film

I inseted two pieces of footage to be played at the same time, therefore for the audience to view them I double clicked the second clip and edited the footage in the effects control, by adjusting the opacity from 100% to 85 % creating a transparent image.

Page 15: Process of making the final film

This is a freeze frame of a clip that didn’t have much tension building however was nessercary for the film i=to make sense to the audience therefore in order for it to not take up a lot of time and reduce the audience concentration I right clicked on the footage and click adjust speed and edited the duration from 100 to 200 % meaning that the running length of the clip would be half the size as before

In order to add text to create credit in my film I pressed ‘ctrl’ ‘t’ on my key board, which lead me to create a new title page where I could create the maximum width and length of my text

Then using the T tool I wad very simply able to write the names of those I wanted in my credits and was able to select the colour choice and font styles due to the adjustment tool

Page 17: Process of making the final film

Once I added non diagetic sound to my film it was important that I adjusted the volume in order for all clips to be the same level and making it more comfortable for the audience. In order to increase the tension and build up to the climax point through out the film I added a audio transition of constant power to my sound clips, making them increase in volume through out the duration of my film.

Page 18: Process of making the final film

To show the climax had been made, I used the technique of an audio transition of a fade.

By using the selection tool I was able to increase and decrease the duration of the fade.
