Process of album cover image

I began my poster with inserting the image that I wanted to use on a new document.

I then made work on manipulating the image of my artist to appear suitable for my front cover.I first got rid of any blemishes visible and then altered the colour levels so that the grey levelsWere decreased.

I then duplicated the layer so that I could manipulate the second image of my artist.With the second layer, I selected the filter of ‘liqiuify’ and then distorted the face so that it Was enlarged in the direction that I wanted the shattering effect to take place. I then added a ‘layer mask’ so and painted the layer black so that it was hidden behind the original image ofthe artist.

I then added a mask to each of my layers with the original image of my artist and then the Manipulated image of my artist. I then changed the colour of these masks to black and white As this will create the shattering effect to take place.

I manipulated the design of my brush so that it would create a harsh splattering effect when I paint over the distorted layer of my artist which is hidden.

Then on my front layer, using the brush I had created, I painted white splatters all across the Right side of her face to look like a side of her was disintegrating.

Then on the other layer using black paint on the paintbrush I had created, I then created a splattering effect to the white back ground, so that this would create the image of her shattering which I feel compliments my theme of identity well.
