• Access to the NSP through your Web browser with your login and password and then :

Map List
• By default ProAlarm Viewer will show the Map Viewer List of the available Maps Click on one Map’s name to open a new window containing this Map.
• All users level with the role NSPBusinessXXX are able to handle maps

Map Tool Bar
• Select one or several objects on a map
• Moving the map Pan
• Zooming Zoom in
Automatically zoom in to the center of the screen
Zoom out Automatically zoom out from the center of the screen
Fit contents to screen Fit to view all resources in the area
Top map Layer Go to the topmost layer of the map (in case of map aggregates)
Zoom in rectangle Select the area you want to zoom in
• Refresh screen Manual or Automatic (check box)

Objects handling
• Left-click on one object to focus on it
The object is taking the color of its highest severity alarm The Alarm table will list this object’s alarms

• For objects with alarms Alarm menu to acknowledge or terminate the object’s alarms

Alarms Details
• To show one alarm’s details
Select one alarm by using the checkbox in the Select column Click on Show Detail
Check the alarm you need details on

The Events table will show all events related to the selected alarm

Alarms handling
• When an alarm is acknowledged The date and the owner are shown in the table
• When an alarm is terminated It is shown as Cleared until next screen refreshment then it moves to the Terminated alarms table

If a ProTraq alarm is manually terminated by a user, but then a terminate event is sent by the ProTraq application, this event will be rejected and will be shown as an isolated clear event.

Hands-on practice
• Exercise 1 : Display the map* you created with ProAlarm Config.
• Exercise 2 : In the Alarms : Opened list, use a filter to display only Warning (or Minor) alarms of the last 24 hours.
• Exercise 3: Acknowledge a Warning (or Minor) alarm then verify the status of the alarm
• Exercise 4: Terminate this alarm and switch to the Alarms: Terminated list. Check that the alarm is found in the Terminated alarms
