Pro Patria and Res Publica Union Women`s Organisation
Estonia
Situation in Estonia• Base line study – percentage of women in politics
has been rising since the beginning of 1990-ies, but has dropped backwards in parliamentary 2011, it is around 20%.
• Reason – bad classification in lists
• Voters prefer men
• Ca 45% members, but less than 30% members of the boards of political parties are women
• All women organisations do a good cooperation
Half of members of parties
Less 30% boards of parties
