NPO Privod LLC occupies leading positions in design,
manufacturing and supplies of electrical generating equipment of
low and medium power, traction equipment for railway transport.The
list of the products supplied by NPO Privod LLC includes over 1,500
positions of electric machines and controlling equipment - gas
turbine generators, hydro turbines generators, synchronous and
asynchronous motors, electric traction equipment, etc.
ProductsTurbogenerators
Power Output range 1.5 - 225 MW for electrical energy generation
based on the steam and gas turbines applications. The
Turbogenerators have enhanced efficiency and advanced technical
design.
Hydro turbines generators
Power Output range up to 300 MW for electrical energy generation
based on the hydraulic turbines applications.
Hydr turbines of wide power output range, with both vertical and
horizontal design and are manufactured according to GOST and
customers specific technical requirements.
Synchronous motors
Capacity range 0.315 31.5 MW for pump drives, compressor drives,
gas blowers, air blowers and other high-speed equipment
applications; specialized compressor motors with a range of 0.315 -
1 MW.
Asynchronous motors
Capacity range 6.5 kW 12.5 MW, rotation speed - 115 - 8,600 rpm
for pump drives, ventilators, smoke exhausters, air blowers, air
cooling machines, and other applications; for nuclear plants.
Horizontal and vertical motors are produced for various climate
conditions, with explosion protection.
Electrical gas-pumping units (EGPU) and sets of materiel
equipment for EGPU revamp
Capacity range 4.0 8.2 MW rotation speed 8,000 8,600 rpm. for
natural gas compression and transportation through main gas
pipelines.
High-speed, gearless, and frequency-regulated gas-pumping units
with the rotors on magnetic bearings.
The electric energy consumed by our gas-pumping units is lower
by about 30% compare to the equipment provided by other
manufacturers. The customers capital costs and installation costs
are also reduced. The gas pumps can operate in a wide range of
ambient conditions from -60 to +45 C.
Traction electrical equipment
for main-line (cargo and passenger) diesel locomotives; traction
motors for subway cars.

The unique experience in the new equipment designing enables NPO
Privod LLC to develop high-tech products. The team of designers has
a wealth of experience in the designing of new machines, including
the development of new projects, customization, diagnostics, and
consultancy on operation and maintenance of the output

Certification of management system and products
The integrated management system, based on the principles
established by three international standards, is introduced on the
production site (Electrotyazhmash- Privod LLC): - Quality
management system as per ISO 9001:2008; - Environmental management
system as per ISO 14001:2004; - Occupational health and safety
management system as per OHSAS 18001:2007. As for the production of
electrical equipment for the railroad stock, the quality management
system has a certificate of conformity to the requirements of GOST
R ISO 9001:2008. The products of the Company, for which the Russian
legislation provides for obligatory certification, have
certificates of conformity. We are licensed to produce equipment
for the nuclear power industry and have a certificate of conformity
to the operation conditions at Gazprom JSC facilities. NPO Privod
LLC cooperates with independent expert organizations: Bureau
Veritas General Conditions and FSUE VO Safety. All our equipment
can be certified upon customers request.
Products Deliveries
The products are in strong demand both in Russia, and abroad.
The equipment supplied by NPO Privod LLC is used at power
facilities in Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Latin American
countries. Total capacity of the equipment, that works in 35
countries worldwide exceeds 50,000 MW.The permanent customers of

2. HYDRO TURBINES GENERATORSThe production facilities of NPO
Privod LLC allow the manufacture of air-cooled hydro turbines
generators with a wide range of capacities, from 1 to 300 MW,
vertical or horizontal types of constructions, thus ensuring that
almost any customers requirements are met. The team of the Companys
specialists and designers of the engineering center of
Electrotyazhmash-Hydroengineering LLC have a wealth of experience
in designing of the new hydro turbines generators and retrofitting
of the obsolete ones at the operated hydropower stations both in
Russia and abroad.
The hydro turbines generators are delivered complete with
auxiliary systems (excitation, cooling, braking,
fire-extinguishing, thermal control and others), sets of spare
parts, tools and accessories for installation and for guaranteed
and designed commercial operation.
Fabrication is in line with GOST 5616-89 and specific technical
requirements of the customer.

4.1. Brushless diode excitation systems (SVBD) The SVBD-type
excitation systems are fabricated in compliance with the technical
specifications KNPG 651441.004 TU and meet the requirements of GOST
21558-2000. The SVBD-type excitation systems have a certificate of
conformity to GOST-R No. 0716430.
Depending on the generator type capacity, the SVBD system
consists of the following assembly units: diode brushless exciter
(VBD or 2VBD); generator excitation control cabinet (ShUBGM); rotor
protection cabinet (ShZR), as required; dropping resistor,
consisting of one or several resistor blocks (BR), as required.
4.1.1. Synchronous generators excitation control cabinets
ShUVGMDigital control systems for brushless exciters of synchronous
generators ShUVGM are designed for the following functions:
supplying of the excitation windings of the exciters for
synchronous turbine generators with automatically controlled
current; initial excitation of the generator to the set point;
adjustment of the generator voltage to the mains voltage; line and
dedicated load operation in all permissible modes from idling to
rated load; operation in the auto and manual control modes with
bumpless switching between the modes; bumpless switching between
the channels for a two-channel system; excitation forcing in the
case of voltage drop at the generators busbars; limitation of the
minimal excitation by the generator performance curve; limitation
of the forcing excitation current value by the set level and
duration; excitation winding overload limitation; generator field
suppression in the case of emergency and normal shutdown;
communication with the higher-level ACS.
The ShUVGM excitation control systems provide supplying of the
excitation windings of the brushless exciters for synchronous
turbine generators with the capacity of up to 60 MW and higher with
automatically controlled direct current.
Manufactured in compliance with GOST R 21558-2000 and customers
specific technical requirements.
Delivery set includes: control cabinet; set of feeding
transformers, type OLS-1.25/6(10) U2 3 pcs, or 3AC380V/240V, 4kVA
1(2) pcs upon request; set of spare parts and accessories;
operation documents.

Digital excitation control systems ShUVG are designed for
supplying of the excitation windings of the exciters for
synchronous turbine generators with automatically controlled
current and have the following functions:

5. TURBOGENERATOR LIfE SUPPORT SYSTEMS5.1. Air cleaner and air
recirculation unit
The air cleaner and air recirculation unit is designed to run in
conjunction with TK-series open loop ventilation turbogenerators,
and serves to clean and pre-heat air flowing into the
generator.
The air flowing into the generator is heated by means of
utilizing heat removed from operational losses. The cooling air
recirculation system ensures generator start-up and operations
within a temperature range of 60 C below zero to 5 C above
zero.

6.6. RVSD frequency-regulated, explosion proof synchronous motor
with 14,000 kW capacity
RVSD-14000-2R Nf4 electric motor with open loop type ventilation
is a part of frequency regulated electric drive feeding from the
thyristor frequency converter. It is designed to drive centrifugal
mechanisms in explosion hazard zones of the 1st and 2nd class under
Russian GOST 51330.9. 50 or 60 Hz AC three phase power supply.
Electric motor of this type can be used at pumping plants of
oil-trunk pipelines or compressor plants at gas pipe lines instead
of gas-turbine motors (as an alternative to gas turbine motors with
lower efficiency).
The particular feature of RVSD-14000-2R Nf4 is than it is
possible to regulate Rotation speed from 50 to 105 % (1,500-3,150
rpm), that allows supporting the required pressure in the oil
pipeline and excluding excess demand energy.
