(additional charge may apply for Suzuki lessons)
Music enrollment includes evaluations, participation in group performances, and community service opportunities through performing music. Standard private lesson tuition is $28 for each 30-minute session, $42 for each 45-minute session, and $56 for each 60-minute session. Suzuki lessons include an additional $100/quarter to cover participation in group instruction. Lessons are billed/pro-rated according to quarterly structure. A tuition
discount is available for members of the Oswego Family YMCA, and for FRA families enrolled in four or more music lessons. A military discount is also available. Please contact our main office for more information.

PASTEL EXPLORATION

MUSIC THEORY CLASS This teacher-guided program meets each week. Students work through ear training exercises and theory curriculum from the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program. MONDAYS 4:15-5 on 5-5:45 (current student: $60 / non-current $80)
GUITAR ENSEMBLE (youth or adult) Students learn classical guitar group
repertoire together. YOUTH– TUESDAYS 6:30-7:30pm;
ADULT– FRIDAYS 11:00am-12:00pm. $80 per quarter
FOX RIVER ACADEMY ROCK ENSEMBLE
Students have a chance to practice together music by various artists and perform in various
community venues. $80 per quarter
Students explore the combined mediums
of pastels and watercolors in this
workshop. Artists learn how to blend,
layer, and shade with pastels, as well as
discover watercolor techniques including
wet to dry and wet to wet painting and
brush applications.

Students will improve their drawing and
observational skills through participating
in this workshop. Each student will com-
plete several observational drawing
exercises including contour line drawing,
gesture line drawing, sketching, shading,
and crosshatching. Students are provided
with a small sketchbook. *Students
should bring one item of importance (a
favorite toy, stuffed animal, etc.) to be
used for drawing exercises.

Oswego YMCA members receive a discount on mu-
sic lessons and art classes. Some classes are taught on campus at the YMCA.
The Fox River Academy is a Preferred Partner of the Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois. Troops/Girl Scouts may earn badges through special workshops and classes taught by
our art faculty.

Students in this two hour class will learn
how to draw Cartoon Animal
Superheroes! They will learn the
fundamentals of drawing the basic super-
hero anatomy in a simple way and
combining it with that of an animal in
nature. The focus will be on three
different body types: small, medium, and
large, emphasizing the basic outlines of
each type of figure. At the end of the
session, students will have created their
own unique animal superhero that they
can take home with them!

(Description:) Learn the fundamentals
of drawing the basic superhero
anatomy and combining it with that of
an animal of the natural world.
Students in this two hour class will
learn how to draw the anatomy of a
heroic character and combine that
specific anatomy with the features of
a creature of the animal kingdom. At
the end of this session students will
have created two or more unique,
animalistic-superhero characters that
show the dynamics of their creativity!

Calling all little fashionistas who love art
