As always it is a pleasure to talk to the children and enjoy their enthusi- asm as they talk about their holidays and catch up with friends and staff. I’m sure you will also join me with a warm welcome to all our new students and their families. I have so much school news for you which may make this a long newsleer. I will dot point the items hoping the informaon will be easier to access. Mr Ballard – A huge congratulaons to Ben who, on Monday evening, was the recipient of Cricket Aus- tralia’s ‘Volunteer of the Year Award’. Ben accepted this award at the Allan Border Dinner. A wonderful acknowledgement of Ben’s work in this area. Further news of Mr Ballard is that our Regional Office has asked Ben to take on a consultancy role for Semester 1. Although we are sad to lose Ben for this me we are also aware that the schools he works with will benefit from his skills and experse and we wish him all the best. New Assistant Principal – Last year we farewelled Mrs Jan Lee who rered and this then leſt an Assis- tant Principals posion vacant. This job was filled using the DEC merit selecon process and we are thrilled to announce that Mr Craig Dawson was the successful candidate. Congratulaons Craig! She has a wealth of experience and is thrilled to be part of our staff. On Monday 4 th March we will welcome Ms Emily Craggs who is from the Hunter Region. She has heard so many posive comments about Bungendore that she is also excited about her move. Ms Craggs is making a flying visit this weekend as she is keen to learn all about our school. Ms Craggs will be teach- ing 2C which is currently being taught by Mrs Quinnell. Later in this newsleer is a list of staff and clas- ses. Swimming Carnival – What a perfect day for a swimming carnival. The children should be proud of their parcipaon and strong House spirit. Many thanks to Mr Wya and the staff for their hard work and efforts and also a very big thank you to all our parents who help us run events …. we couldn’t do this without your help. School numbers – We currently have 466 students and are waing to confirm whether we will form a 20 th class. If this happens we will have to restructure, which will allow for smaller class numbers. I will keep you informed, if and when this excing episode occurs. Country Muster – As a staff we would like to thank our P&C for their ongoing support with fundraising
This document is posted to help you gain knowledge. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think about it! Share it to your friends and learn new things together.
On behalf of the school and P&C I would like to thank the 20+ families
that helped out with the cleaning at this year’s Country Muster. Once
again we were inundated with thanks from the patrons and the Muster
organisers.
We are never quite sure how much money this will make for our school, it depends on the muster takings, however we are never-ever disap-pointed with what we receive.

LOST
NOT JUST A WATER BOTTLE
The water bottle shown below was lost at school at the end of last year.
It was a gift from a parent serving overseas in Af-ghanistan and whilst only a water bottle it has senti-mental value.
It may still have the name Sian Murray written on the lid in black pen.
If anyone has it or knows where it is could they please return it to the school office or contact Vanessa on 0412574692
