BOOK WEEK September 3– September 7
We have had another fabulous book week around the theme ‘finding your treasure’. Yesterday we enjoyed the live performance, Treasure Hunt for all students in our gym.
The performance was linked to this year’s Children’s Book Council of Australia Awards.
Throughout the week our students visited the Junior Library and viewed the display
of Children’s Book Council Award books. All children have been celebrated as authors in their own right this week.
ASK THEM WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN WRITING
Thanks to Mr Brown and Mrs Dodemaide for all of the planning and preparation!
BOOK WEEK PARADE Congratulations to all of our families and staff for the magnificent effort put into book
parade costumes. We have had a great week!
FATHER’S DAY STALL We hope our Dads and significant males in our students’ lives had a great Father’s
Day.
We take this opportunity to again thank our fundraising team for all of the work that went into the planning, ordering, preparing and selling of our Father’s Day gifts.
We really appreciate your work!
DROP OFF ZONE An ongoing reminder that the drop off zone is not a parking area.
Thank you for supporting our parking policy.
TOILETS Thank you for your support in discussing with your child the importance of
respectfully using our toilets. It is the right of every child to use a clean toilet and we need to work as a team to ensure these messages are being heard and understood.

BATTERY RECYCLING Matilda, Amelie and Jade John would like to support a battery recycling program at
BMPS. Research tells us that only 3% of batteries are recycled in Australia, and it is up to us
to show our students how easy it is to recycle and for it to be second nature not a chore.
Please get behind this recycling program and bring your used batteries to the office where buckets will be provided for them to be left in.
A big thankyou to the John family for supporting our sustainability efforts
SPARE CLOTHES We are running very low on spare school uniform, if you have any that you no longer
need, we would appreciate them for our spare clothes cupboard. Thank you.
LABELLING SCHOOL UNIFORM
Please ensure that uniform items are clearly labelled as this makes it easier to identify items in the lost property basket.
KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS
Can you help? Mrs Zanon would love to hear from any parents interested in supporting the kitchen
program. Volunteer support is at the CORE of our wonderful program and we would be thrilled
to welcome new faces. Please contact the office if you would like to get involved.
