Classes offered: 3-6 month; 6-9 month; 9-12 month; Open; *Graduate + Altered (*Graduate: any dog having earned 5 or more championship points in any country, Champions included)
Entries: 10am – 11am Entry Fee: $2.00 Competition is open to all juniors between the age of 7 and 18 years.
Dogs handled by the Juniors must be entered in an official class at the All-Breed Show. Dogs need not be owned by the Junior. The classes will be offered as follows:
JUNIOR NOVICE - 7 TO 10; JUNIOR OPEN - 7 TO 10; INTERMEDIATE; NOVICE – 11 TO 14; INTERMEDIATE OPEN – 11 TO 14; SENIOR NOVICE - 15 TO 18; SENIOR OPEN - 15 TO 18; PEE WEE (non competitive) 4 TO 6.
NOTE: Pee Wees do not compete for Best Overall. Suitable prizes will be offered for all children participating in Junior Handling at this show.
* Please Note: Effective Jan. 1, 2016 - Section 3.4.1“All Junior Handlers with the exception of PeeWees, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event.
This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked.”

4.1.3. A judge officiating at a show held under these Rules shall not be subjected to INDIGNITIES of any kind during the progress of the show,
and it shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see that this Rule is effectively carried out.

ATTENTION FOREIGN EXHIBITORS U.S. Exhibitors: Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in U.S. funds it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques “Payable in Canadian Funds” or “At Par” as they will not be cleared by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and co-operation is appreciated. Thank you.
FEES / CHEQUES / N.S.F. CHEQUES: All fees must accompany your entries. No entries will be accepted without accompanying full payment. Tendering of an N.S.F. cheque or credit cards that have maxed out shall be considered an offence punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards by the Canadian Kennel Club. There will be a $50.00 fee charged for any N.S.F. funds issued to the Prince Albert Kennel & Obedience Club. (Post-dated cheques will NOT be accepted). Overpayment of entry fees will not be refunded.
OFFICIAL CKC ENTRY FORMS
ENTRIES MUST BE TYPED OR DISTINCTLY PRINTED. Owners are responsible for errors on entries. Incomplete entry forms must be returned to the designated owner or his authorized agent. Unsigned, telephone, or telegraph entries cannot be accepted, except in the event of a postal strike when telephone entries may be made in accordance with the Canadian Kennel Club Regulations.
BREEDS,CLASSES, AWARDS AND STAKES
12.2.1 Regular Official Classes: All of these classes must be divided by sex except for Specials Only. Only dogs entered in one of the regular, non-regular, or unofficial classes shall be allowed within the show precincts. JUNIOR PUPPY: for dogs at least six months of age on the first day of the Show and under nine months of age on the day of the show. SENIOR PUPPY: for dogs 9 months of age and under 12 months of age on the day of the show. 12 - 18 MONTH CLASS: for dogs 12 - 18 months on the day of the shows. CANADIAN BRED: shall be for dogs born in Canada, Champions of any country excluded. BRED BY EXHIBITOR: shall be for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the Breeder. The handler must be the owner/co-owner AND breeder/co-breeder of the dog. The owner/ breeder must handle the dog in this class, but need not handle the dog for further awards. OPEN CLASS: shall be for all dogs. SPECIALS ONLY: is for dogs which have a recorded CKC Registration or Event Registration Number and have attained the required points for Championship status including at least one 2 point win either at the breed or group level. Should a dog which is entered in this class be found either not to be registered or has not completed the requirements for Championship status, all awards earned at the show will be cancelled. Dogs entered in this class will compete for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy if eligible. EXHIBITION ONLY: for all dogs 6 months of age and eligible for registration with the CKC. EXHIBITION ONLY 3-6 MONTHS: puppies 3-6 months of age may be entered provided the Owner has also entered an eligible dog in a Regular Class. MOVING DOGS TO “SPECIALS ONLY”: A dog which is individually registered in the records of the CKC and has completed the requirements for a Championship in accordance with these rules but at the time of the closing of entries for a show has not received confirmation of the title, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to “Specials Only” providing the transfer is submitted to the Show Secretary in writing by the owner or agent at least 1 hour prior to the judging of the breed. NOTE: Class dogs may be moved to “Specials Only” as long as the registration number is on the “Move Up” Sheet.
RESERVED BENCHING – ONLINE ONLY 8’ x 8' reserved assigned space is optional and on a first come, first served basis.
55 assigned spaces are available at $30.00 ea. Unreserved benching is also available throughout the building, at no cost, on a first come, first served basis on day of arrival.
Please Note: Anyone requiring more than 3 spaces together must reserve benching so that we can accommodate your benching needs.
If you wish to be benched beside someone, please ensure that you include this information on your entry.
POWER Prepaid Power is available at $30 each. Unreserved power can be purchased (CASH ONLY) at the show for $50.

SHOW TIMES
All start times will be specified in the judging schedule emailed to all exhibitors after entries close. Group judging will commence immediately following the breed judging. No two groups will be judged at the same time. Should a conflict arise between groups, the Show Secretary shall rule as to what order the Groups show. Best In Show will follow shortly after the last group has been judged.
CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship Show shall be credited with a number of Championship points (Ranging from 0 - 5) and the number of championship points to credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be provided hereunder. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of the number of points awarded WINNERS shall be as follows:

In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall NOT
(effective 2012) be included in the calculation of points. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF BREED a the show, then all dogs competing in the breed, including Specials Only, shall be included in the total. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX to Best of Breed, then all dogs of the same sex including those competing for Specials Only shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS is also awarded Best Of Winners, then all dogs defeated directly or indirectly in the breed shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS only, then all the dogs of the same class competition shall be included in the total. The number of Championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be determined by the highest award earned and calculated as per Section 20.2. In addition to Championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded WINNERS which also places in the regular Group competition, shall be credited with the following points provided that a dog was defeated at the Group level.

A dog awarded WINNERS which also places BEST IN SHOW at an All-Breed Championship Show shall be credited with 5 Championship points inclusive of any points earned at the breed and group level. In no case can a dog earn more than five points at a single show. An error in the class, date of birth or sex may be amended on the entry from up to one hour BEFORE the start of the show.
