In diet one it shows that if a cattle that is the primary consumer and a human that is a secondary consumer that you only get 1% of energy that is transmitted to you. But if you are a primary consumer showed in diet 2 you get 10% of energy that is transmitted to you. 4 oz. of beef is equivalent to driving about 6.6 miles.
