Youth News Is Christ the cornerstone in your life? If not, what do you need to do to make Him the cornerstone? This was the discus-sion in youth group this past week. Too often we put other things in our life before Christ, and as a result, life can get pret-ty shaky. My prayers this week were focused on our wonderful juniors and seniors. With prom taking place, I prayed that they all be safe and always remember how truly precious they are to many. I know this time of year can also be difficult for parents, espe-cially those who have their first child getting ready to graduate- stay strong and trust in Christ. The HS youth group social event was a blast! We went to Powerplay for the day. It was a great way to have some friendly competition, a wonderful meal, and have the opportunity to know more about one another.

Have you ever been made fun of by friends, family or cowork-ers for:
• Checking with your wife before agreeing to happy hour?
• Packing a lunch for your husband?
• Attending a marriage conference or retreat?
• Praying with your spouse in public?
• Having “too many” kids?
• Buying your wife flowers… even if you’re not in a fight?
• Refusing to speak badly about your husband or about mar-riage in general?
If so, congratulations! These types of behaviors are generous and other-centered. This is the kind of love that Jesus exhibited in dying for us, and the kind of love that made him “the stone that the builders rejected.” and makes for lasting marriages. For more “cornerstone” habits, go to www.JoyfulMarriageProject.com.
