VP Technical Report By Nicholas Hipp

Good day everyone! The next presentation on October 3rd will be by Claypool Pump about a “Basic Overview on Centrifugal Pumps”. They have broad experience in pump products. His presentation will be most educational in explaining the different types of pumps in the industry and the best applications for the different styles of pumps. In September we had a most interesting presentation on hydromechanical grease interceptor sizing. This is a relatively new product in the industry and various qualities and characteristics of this new equipment were discussed. If you wish to receive a certificate for this meeting please provide your e-mail address on the sign-in sheet provided and one will be emailed to you.

Our meetings as in previous years are being held in the recently remodeled “The Engineering Center of St. Louis” formerly called The Engineers Club. Hopefully the cur-rent completion of the remodeling work will facilitate our meetings.

The St. Louis County Building Commission has been unable to have a hearing on the proposed St. Louis County Plumbing Code ordinance. Keep an eye on the meeting notice in the following URL if you are interested in reading a proposed dopy of the ordinance and learning of a scheduled meeting.
