June/July Newsletter Mount Vernon Chapter Officers 2016-2017 President – Dianne Tippins Vice President – Jeanne Farmer Secretary— Nancy Barkume Treasurer—Mary Downey Nominating Chair— Kathy Sander President’s Message Endings….. September 2016, I wrote,” September is the time of beginnings. New leadership, new members, new internationally known teachers, new friends, new quilting techniques and new goals.” June is the time for endings. I always find endings sad. I am sad that my tenure is over. Just like in quilting, I find finishing a quilt sad. My two years as MVQU president has been wonderful! I have made new friends, watched members learn new techniques, become enthusiastic about Bee Enhancement, and assume leadership roles. MVQU is in good hands, and I know that members will stand strong and offer their skills and talents to support the leadership and MVQU. While I am leaving the presidency that does not mean I am leaving. I will continue to support, learn and love MVQU. Thank you all so much for the experience! Dianne
