What is your skill Level? I found this in one of my Quilting Magazines; Beginner A beginner is a quilter who has been introduced to the basics of cutting, piecing and assembling a quilt top and is working to master these skills. Someone who has the knowledge of how to sandwich, quilt and find a quilt, but may not have necessarily accomplished the task yet. Confident Beginner A confident beginner is a quilter who has pieced and assembled several quilt tops and is comfortable with the process, and is now ready to move on to more challenging techniques and projects using a least two different techniques. Intermediate An intermediate quilting is a quilter who is comfortable with most quilting techniques and has a good understanding for design, color and the whole process. An intermediate quilter is one who is experienced in paper piecing, bias piecing and projects involving multiple techniques. They are confident in making fabric selections other than those listed in the pattern. Advanced An advanced quilter is a quilter who is looking for a challenging design. Someone who knows she or he can make any type of quilt. Someone who has the skill to read, comprehend and complete a pattern, and is willing to take on any technique is an advanced quilter. They are comfortable in her or his skills and have the ability to select fabric suited for the project. So whatever level you are: I challenge everyone to try something that is just a little harder; it just takes confidence to try to get better. So just challenge yourself to move to the next level and you will be surprised at what you can do. Happy quilting during the summer months. Keep smiling Dianne

DID YOU KNOW… Antler, North Dakota is home to the World’s Largest Historical Quilt. It is 85 ft. x 135 ft. and was sewn together in 1988 in the shape of North Dakota. It contains blocks representing all 53 counties. More than 7,000 people worked on the quilt.
The quilt is too large to display and is therefore in storage. Leona Tennyson, coordinator of the pro-ject, is now deceased and her children and daughter-in-law are trying to find a home for the quilt.
