Greetings from Mumbai Mudrak Sangh!

MMS is Mumbai’s premier association of printers, established in 1956 by the then leading printers. MMS

strives to bring together the owners of all printing presses, as also to safeguard the interests of the print in-

dustry. With a view to working effectively for the benefit of the Print Industry, MMS has broadened its mem-

bership base to bring under its banner the entire gamut of the industry in its new avatar. This event aims to

strengthen the bond between members of the print industry and inspire them to achieve higher standards

within the Industry.

Printers’ Day celebration has been organized by MMS since 2004, the golden jubilee year of our Association

and has acquired remarkable brand equity for the quality and content of the various seminars conducted on

these occasions.

We are delighted to inform you that for the year 2019 Mumbai Mudrak Sangh has unanimously decided to

confer the “MMS Lifetime Achievement Award” on Mr. Uday C. Patel, Founder, Line O Matic Industires, a rare

breed of successful industrialists among the machinery manufacturing fraternity living in Ahmedabad, Guja-

rat. Mr. Patel is a true visionary and dynamic entrepreneur in the industry who has made the entire country

proud by being the pioneer in exercise note book making machinery and paper converting machinery seg-

ment. After establishing its leadership in India, under his stewardship, his organization, Line-O-Matic Graphic

Industries, today is the most preferred & trusted brand for exercise note book making machinery in the world

and having presence in more than 60 countries including Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, CIS & Far East

countries with 3000 machine installations.

The event will be held on 2nd March, 2019 at Hotel Sahara Star, Vile Parle (E), Mumbai. It will begin at 9.30 am

and carry on till dinner.

The first session would be Power Lunch @ the MMS Round Table, a meet to discuss and share knowledge on

future trends, technology and innovative techniques. The eight round tables also known as Centre’s of Com-

petencies will represent the eight verticals from print and packaging industry. The ten members at each round

table would be a talent pool comprising of a moderator, a domain expert and seven printers.

In the second session we have Keynote speaker, Padma Shri, Dr. Deepak Phatak, along with Mr. Shriniwas

Joshi and Mr. Chandrashekhar Vaze, sharing their experience on various aspects covering topics as Innova-

tion, Indian & world economy and management principles.

The final session would witness the Award for the year 2019 being conferred on Mr. Uday C. Patel, Founder,

Line-O-Matic Graphic Industries for his achievements and passionate efforts in the best interest of the print

fraternity. The Award will be bestowed in the presence of eminent personalities of the Industry followed by

networking dinner.

MMS programs have always brought in a congregation of elite Printers not only from Mumbai, but also

Thane, Dombivli, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad etc. We are expecting above Three hundred participants from

the Industry on that day. This would give Raka Enterprises a good platform to address the crowd and brand

their products.

Concept of Round TableThere would be Round Tables, each pertaining to a particular vertical of Print. Packaging, Commercial Digital, Commercial Offset, Books, Outdoor Media, Labels, Colour Management and Press Standardization. We call them Centres of Competence (CoC). There would be 9-10 members at each table; The machine manufacturer, The Celebrity Printer-Expert, a Moderator and 6 Printers who have looked upto the Celebrity Print Expert and are desirous of meeting them as well as the manufacturing company. With their success it goes without saying that they have acquired the enviable status of Celebrity Printer and there would be many in the print fraternity who would like to have a one to one with them. Questions will be about trends and technologies. Once the group is finalised, the list too shall be shared on whatsapp and email. The questions will not be around costing or clients. On D-Day, the 2nd of March, there will be discussions with the members at each table revolving around these questions and some more spontaneous questions. We believe this close interaction would lead to sharing of knowledge with focused industry experts. This year we have added an hour of Summing up Session by the Print Expert whichwill than be open to printers for interaction. Really MMS Round Table was a memorable event, taking a cue we started it at OPA also. Presenting Life Time Award to Mr. C N Ashok, a person who is devoted toward progress of printing industry and is the pioneer printing machinery manufac-turer in India is again a praiseworthy step. Life Time Achievement Award – LTA and Round Table Conference – RTC are the annu-al signature events of Mumbai Mudrak Sangh – MMS.

I am fortunate enough to have attended all most all the editions of last decade.

LTA where in a person who has rendered yeoman ser-vices to print fraternity is felicitated with spouse in traditional Maharashtrian way, is a very touching and emotional experience which just cannot be described in words. Listening to success story live (which is full of struggles and challenges) from the horses mouth is a unique and genuinely motivational part of the function.

RTC on the other hand is all about sharing, caring and solving complex issues of printing profession in a small group. Juniors share the table with Seniors and Stal-warts of the profession to discuss, share ideas and find out the correct solution. Very effective and result orient-ed initiative by MMS.

Keep it up Team MMS I will be there with you on March2’ 2019 for sure.

Round Table is a unique interactive session by MMS which helps fellow printers to share knowl-edge with each other and help them excel in their re-spective fields.
