Day 1 Arrive Rapid City, SD Embark on your South Dakota
adventure today as you board your flight to Rapid City, SD. Upon
arrival, you will be met at the airport by your Aventura World tour
director and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the
remainder of your day at leisure to check out the local history,
culture, and vibrant food scene. Tonight, savor a delicious Welcome
Dinner with your traveling companions and newfound friends. (D)
Day 2 Rapid City - Mt. Rushmore - Crazy Horse Memorial - Custer
State Park Wake to this exciting day with breakfast at your hotel
before heading out to visit the iconic Mount Rushmore featuring the
awesome sculptures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore
Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Each face is 60 feet high and is
carved into the rugged granite mountainside with intricate
perfection. Next on the day’s adventure, visit Crazy Horse
Memorial, the world’s largest mountain carving currently under
construction in the Black Hills that depicts Oglala Lakota warrior
on his horse. Have lunch on your own and then visit Custer State
Park, a wildlife preserve that is home to a herd of 1,500
free-roaming buffalo. Here you will experience a thrilling Buffalo

Day 3 Rapid City - Devil’s Tower Today after breakfast enjoy a
tour to Devil’s Tower National Monument in Wyoming to view the
867-foot monolith. This tour returns to South Dakota and takes you
on to visit historic Deadwood, 1870’s Gold Rush town known for its
Old West legends like Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok.
Afterwards, a scenic drive takes you through picturesque Spearfish
Canyon as you head back to your hotel in Rapid City. (B)
Day 4 Rapid City - Badlands National Park - Fort Hays After
breakfast at your hotel, drive through Badlands National Park that
contains the world’s richest fossil beds, permitting scientists to
study the evolution of mammal species such as the horse,
rhinoceros, and saber-toothed tiger. Take in the breathtaking
cliffs, towering spires, colorful canyons and check out the
examples of weathering and erosion. You will then have some time to
explore the famous Wall Drug Store established in 1931 known for
its “free ice-water” that has quenched road-weary travelers for
more than 80 years. After lunch on your own, visit the Fort Hays,
setting of the Oscar winning film Dances with Wolves. Tonight,
enjoy an included dinner with Cowboy Show. (B,D)
Day 5 Rapid City - Riddle’s Black Hills Gold & Diamond
Factory - North American Wildlife Savor breakfast at your hotel
before embarking on a tour through Riddle’s Black Hills Gold and
Diamond Factory. Watch skilled artisans handcraft South Dakota’s
official state jewelry and enjoy time to shop for unique
memento.

Next a leisurely drive through this unique North American
Wildlife park nestled on 250 acres of Black Hills Beauty. From the
comfort of your vehicle view black bears, wolves, elk, buffalo and
other wildlife! After your drive-through tour, walk around wildlife

Day 6 Rapid City - Hill City - 1880 Train Ride - Mt. Rushmore at
Night After breakfast get ready to travel back in time as you
travel to Hill City and board the 1880 Train for a rail journey
through history and the great outdoors. The 1880 Train is an
authentic narrow-gauge railroad dating back to the Black Hills Gold
Rush era. Visit The Journey Museum and learn about Black Hills
history and Native American culture. The last night of the
thrilling adventure includes a fabulous Farewell Dinner followed by
a visit to see the illuminated monument of Mt. Rushmore at night.
