What is intranet ? • A network based on TCP/IP protocols (an internet)

belonging to an organization, usually a corporation, accessible only by the organization's members, employees, or others with authorization. An intranet's Web sites look and act just like any other Web sites, but the firewall surrounding an intranet fends off unauthorized access. Like the Internet itself, intranets are used to share information. • For the intranet that this information was for internal use only since BJ is a start up venture , the AUP for the intranet provides guidelines for protecting software and project planes that are under development and not ready for release yet .

• check on confidentiality polices and make sure that they apply to documents that’s are available on your organization's intranet . develop or updates confidentiality policies with members of your world wide web council , so that each group understands ramifications of making documents available on your organization's intranet
