IMPORTANT Please carefully consider the divisions in which you would like to compete. If you wish to compete with your horse in two or more divisions (assuming eligibility), you should submit the nominating fee for all of the divisions with your entry form. Each rider may nominate as many horses as they wish, but may only ride a maximum of two horses per competition each day. Different horses can be ridden each day if you wish.
You will be charged $200, in addition to the nomination fee, for any new divisions added while at the Tournament. Nomination fees will NOT be refunded for those divisions withdrawn from after July 1. Competitors may only adjust their nominations within 2 divisions (up or down) of what is indicated on the entry form.
Horses must be started (declared) the day before the competition is held at which time the starting fee is applied to your horse’s account. Do not include starting fees with your entry form.

DR. JOHN AND CHRIS WOOD MEMORIAL ‘PEGASUS’ AWARD
Dr. John and Chris Wood were charter members of the Spruce Meadows ‘Pegasus Club’. This couple worked tirelessly over the years in numerous volunteer positions helping to develop and support Spruce Meadows. In 1993, the Wood Family dedicated a beautiful crystal horse to Spruce Meadows.In memory of Chris and John, their grandsons Conrad and Sam Krausert will present an engraved plaque resembling a Pegasus Horse each year to an individual who has assisted Spruce Meadows in a significant way. In the name of the winner, the Wood/Krausert Family will donate $500 to Spruce Meadows to assist the Young Riders’ Program and $500 to the recipient of the Pegasus plaque.

ALBERTA POWERU25 COMPETITIONSSpruce Meadows is pleased to offer a series of competitions for the next wave of athletes. These competitions are open to riders between the ages of 16 and 25 years of age within the current tournament year and for horses that are entered into the CSI 5★ section of the tournament. All horses must pass the veterinary inspection, submit an FEI passport, and be accepted in the FEI entry system.
There will be an Alberta Power Series Award of $5,000 to the top placed rider who is awarded the most points over these four competitions. Riders will only receive points for their top placing in each competition. The rider must compete in competition #646 to be eligible for the award. This Award will be presented following the final competition.

1.60M GRAND PRIX - BIG TOUREligible Riders: Open to all riders aged 18 and over* accepted into the Tournament. Refer to FEI Art. 255.Eligible Horses: Open to all horses that have successfully completed the veterinary inspection, have submitted an FEI passport, and have been accepted in the FEI entry system.Jumps: to 1.60m (5’3”). • Speed: 400 meters per minute.Note: *2019 must be the year in which the rider will be turning 18.
For those not already qualified, the top riders based on points from #653 will qualify to a maximum of 40 riders. Eliminations/retirements are not eligible for points.
Points will be assigned to placings as follows:1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 50 48 47 46 45 44 and so on to 50th place
All athletes qualified for the Grand Prix, including those automatically qualified must complete, with their Grand Prix horse, the initial round of at least one competition prior to the Grand Prix.
All Athletes taking part in a Grand Prix at a CSIO or a CSI must have completed, with their Grand Prix Horse, the initial round of at least one competition prior to the Grand Prix (FEI Article 261.4.4)
The fol lowing Athletes (not Athlete/Horse combinations) are automatically qualified for the Grand Prix at CSI Events, if present:
• 261.4.2.1 - The winner of that Event’s Grand Prix the previous year; • 261.4.2.2 - The current National Champion of the host country; • 261.4.2.3 - The individual medal winners of the last Olympic
and Pan-American Games, the last FEI World and FEI Continental Championships and the winner of the last FEI World Cup™ Final.
