RICHARD AYOADEComedian, Actor, Writer and Director

Richard Ayoade was born on the 12th June 1977 in Whipps Cross, London. Richard studied at St. Joseph's College in Ipswich, Suffolk and later studied law at St Catharine's College, Cambridge (1995–1998). He won, while at St Catherine’s college, the Martin Steele Prize for play production.

Richard and his music career

Richard has directed many musical videos. He’s directed videos for bands such as Arctic Monkeys, The Last Shadow Puppets, Vampire Weekend, Kasabian and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. He’s first music video was Florescent Adolescence by the Arctic Monkeys.

Richard also worked with the lead singer of Arctic Monkeys, Alex Turner, again when he directed the music video for The Last Shadow puppets. He worked on two two of their songs, ‘Standing next to me’ and ‘My mistakes were made for you’.
